We had a great morning Tuesday at the 2026 Salute to Agriculture Breakfast! We appreciate everyone who came out to support our local agricultural community. Thank you to Ag Commissioner Jonathan Shell, our keynote speaker, Roundies Rock Cafe for a delicious breakfast, Christian County Chamber of Commerce and H&R Agri-Power for purchasing the auctioned ham for $12,000!

We enjoyed hearing from our 4H and FFA members yesterday about the Ag Tag Program and all the benefits they receive from it.

March is Ag Tag renewal month so remember to renew your tags and consider the $10 donation to 4H, FFA and Kentucky Proud!

Thank you to all that attended the 2024 Christian County Ag Breakfast! We had a record breaking Country Ham Auction that sold for $31,000!!!! to the coalition of H&R Agri Power, Farm Credit, and Hutson. These funds will support our youth through 4H and scholarships. We heard from our keynote speaker KY Ag Commissioner Jonathan Shell. Congrats to our award winners: Farmer of the Year - Brandon Hunt, Friend of Agriculture - Ben Westerfield, and Ag Business of the Year - Wheat Tech! We also gave out seven $1,000 scholarships from the Troy Goode Memorial Scholarship Fund! Congrats to the recipients: Maggie Goode, Micah Goode, Hannah Thorson, Bailey Kington, Lucas Kaetzel, Kaitlyn Kaetzel, and Mason Spain!
