Our Boys Eagle's Nest House is decorated for Christmas! We are thankful to let this house be full of joy and cheer not just a place to sleep. The goal of our Eagle's Nest Houses is to allow children who are aging out of foster care to have a space to learn to live on their own with guidance and support.

We are wishing all our mentors, mentees and supporters a Merry Christmas this season 🎄❤

We need your help! 🧡

We are a little over a week away from Thanksgiving and currently have 9 mentees in our Eagle Fly Program. These young adults are trying to get on their feet and become established in life. This year we want to gather around and help them enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.

We are asking you to provide ingredients for one of your favorite Thanksgiving sides, along with the recipe, for our mentees to prepare for their Thanksgiving dinner. Ingredients and recipes can be dropped off at Joy Closet now until November 24th. We look forward to the yummy new recipes given! Thank you so much for your support and Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃

As many of you know we have 2 houses called the Eagles Nests where some of our mentees live. This is a place where they get the chance to live on their own with support and guidance from our team. Many children who have been in foster care can become homeless if they don't have support from someone... We never want that for our mentees.

With Christmas right around the corner we have a mentee that would like to decorate for Christmas and would be grateful for any decorations, new or gently used🎄❤

You can drop off at Joy Closet, 814 Belmont Street, Monday-Friday, 8:30-3p.

Hope House- Joy Closet is so excited to have the opportunity to be hosting the showing of the Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot. We had the pleasure hear from Bishop W.C. Martin at our Annual Dinner this year and can't wait to continue to share the story with our community. No matter if you are a part of the foster/kinship community or not this is such an incredible REAL story!

We want everyone to join us and bring a friend❤

‼️Eagly Fly Need‼️

We have exciting news! We have another mentee moving into one of our Eagle's Nest Houses very soon! This is a place our mentees can ease into life as an adult with people that will support them and help set them up for success. All of our mentees have been impacted by the foster care system, and our goal is to give them the guidance and support to help them be successful adults!

We are in need of financial donations to help get our mentee started with living expenses and a new mattress set. Thank you to everyone that has supported our mentees💙

We know the importance of money management and budgeting as we all successfully enter adulthood. We still are thinking about our budgeting skills workshop from Monday night that we hope made a huge impact, and motivates us all to tell our money where to go instead of wondering!

We love to when we can have our mentees/ mentors together to learn real life skills! This month we asked First Southern National Bank to teach our mentees all about budgeting! We can't think of a better way to prepare our mentees for their futures than by helping them manage their finances. We sent them all home with lots of great information, pizza in their stomachs and budgeting books to help get them started! We can't wait to hear how they use these skills once at home! 💵🤍
