Earlier this month we celebrated our 10th year supporting the Hopkins Police Department Cops 'N Kids Shopping program with a total of $30,000 given over the last decade! It's been our pleasure to have a part in the positive relationship building promoted by this event. With JCI Hopkins wrapping up our operations at the end of the year, an additional legacy donation was made to the Hopkins Crime Prevention Fund to support community outreach efforts for years to come.

This weekend, JCI Hopkins commemorated 75 years of service, leadership, and community-building. Members, alumni, and friends gathered to remember the chapter’s lasting impact and the generations of volunteers who helped shape Hopkins into the vibrant community it is today. The celebration was filled with gratitude, storytelling, and recognition of the countless hours of volunteerism.

JCI Hopkins bestowed legacy donations to ICA Food Shelf, MyHealth, ResourceWest, and Sojourner to support their work to strengthening the broader Hopkins community. We also marked a decade of sponsoring the Hopkins Police Department Cops 'n Kids Shopping Program.

A total of ten leaders from our chapter were honored with lifetime achievement awards on the state, national, and international levels. These recognitions commend individuals who exemplify the organization’s core values of service, leadership, collaboration, and community impact along with their commitment to inspire positive change.

Thank you to all who attended and helped build the chapter's legacy which will continue to live on through the community we helped strengthen.

Breaking News: The Hopkins Education Foundation is taking over leadership of Mainstreet Day Arts & Craft Fair from JCI Hopkins. For 38 years, JCI Hopkins has taken great care of this beloved one-day street fair. Now, JCI Hopkins has entrusted HEF (a nonprofit that supports Hopkins Public Schools) with the future of Mainstreet Day, due to HEF’s success with other events and their commitment to the Hopkins community. Don’t worry, you can still expect the same great arts and crafts, food trucks, and family fun from HEF’s Mainstreet Day. See you this May! https://bit.ly/HEFMainstreetDay

It is with heavy but grateful hearts that we share JCI Hopkins will be closing at the end of 2025. Like many other civic organizations, our membership has gradually declined over the years. We did our best to keep going; however, running our projects and large fundraisers with just a handful of dedicated active members has become unsustainable.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has been part of this journey:
• To our members and alumni: your time, passion, and dedication have been the foundation of everything we've accomplished together.
• To our partners: your collaboration, trust, and support allowed us to make a meaningful impact.
• To the community: thank you for welcoming us, engaging with us, and believing in our work — your encouragement has made every step of our journey meaningful.

Since the founding of the Hopkins Jaycees in 1950, our chapter remained deeply committed to the community. We’ve cheered on youth sports teams, supported Raspberry royalty candidates, and honored HHS graduates through scholarships and sponsorships. Generations have gathered in the spaces we helped bring to life including the Hopkins Center for the Arts and the Cottageville Park Pavilion. Our investment into local non profits and social service organizations have helped support those who need it most. Plus, we’ve hosted countless social events — from family centered activities to street dances — helping to strengthen community connections and hometown pride. Our history is proudly shared with those who call Hopkins home.

Though JCI Hopkins will cease operations at the end of 2025, we are committed to finding new hosts for our legacy events, including Mainstreet Day. We will share more details in the coming months. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out at [email protected]

Thank you for believing in our mission, walking alongside us, and giving of yourselves to make a difference. It has been our honor to serve the Hopkins community for 75 years.

We had another successful year of beer sales at Raspberry Jam 🎸!
Thank you to all of our hardworking volunteers, including chapter alumni members and friends from different JCI chapters. And thank you to The Hopkins Raspberry Festival for all your work putting on a great event. The music, the crowd, and the fireworks were all amazing.
