MN Chronicle | The Story Behind the MN

What began as Mr. Neek, the nickname of Soc13ty 101 founder Dominique Pierre-Toussaint, has evolved into a broader symbol of purpose and community.

Inspired by a conversation with his wife, Tracie Nelson Pierre-Toussaint, embraced the public’s natural interpretation of MN as Minnesota, transforming the logo into a representation of both the founder and the community that helped shape the vision (Hopkins, MN).

Today, the MN logo stands for Mr. Neek, Minnesota, Movement, and Mindset. It reflects Soc13ty 101’s commitment to connecting culture, commerce, and community while creating opportunities rooted in ownership and purpose.

From MN Chronicle and PARLE, MN to 101 MN DREAMS, MN ROOTS, and Lyrical Power, the logo has become more than a brand mark. It represents a growing movement built on one mission:

Investing in Passion. Owning Our Journey.

Local Prince fans gathered to share hilarious and heartwarming memories of the music icon at a special storytelling event organized by Eden Prairie resident and former Prince bodyguard Dominique Pierre-Toussaint. The evening also highlighted the superstar's lasting impact on west metro entrepreneurs, including an Excelsior business owner who launched her brand after Prince took a liking to her homemade cheesecakes at Paisley Park.
