Zion Early Childhood Center

Our early childhood center in Hopkins serves children ages 6 weeks to 6 years and their families. Our classrooms are intentionally planned.

We are a faith-based childcare center serving Infants through PreKindergarten aged children and their families. We create our own curriculum for all our classrooms, incorporating play, academics, motor skills, and Jesus Time. We believe play and outdoor time are vital in the development of children. Our Toddler, Preschool, and PreK classrooms have Growing with Music classes once a week. For our ol

der children, we also have additional class offerings, including Spanish, computer skills, and soccer, if families choose to enroll their child/ren. We have Jesus Time every day in the classrooms, as well as our Christian Music Class with Ms. Carol in every classroom. There is a weekly Chapel service for our Preschool and PreK classes with the message of Jesus' love for us shared by one of the Zion Lutheran Church staff members. We have developed a relationship with our "Grandfriends" down the street at Chapel View Care Home and visit them once a week, weather permitting, from spring until Halloween. The children and their grandfriends interact during different weekly activites, including singing together, movement exercises, and small art projects.

Our childcare center, Zion Early Childhood Center in Hopkins, is hiring! We are looking for caring, dedicated people who are interested in working with young children.
Pay is based on experience and education. You may send a resume to [email protected] if you are interested. This could be part-time or full-time, but at this point, we are most in need of afternoon help.
We have an immediate staffing opening with our Toddler team and as well as an opportunity to work with our Infant team, and a float position, requiring working in different classrooms throughout the day is also available.

I’m posting on behalf of Hunger Impact Partners, a non-profit organization working with the Minnesota Department of Education to promote free summer meals for kids across the state. We are reaching out to you to request your help in getting the word out on the different ways kids and the adults in their lives can find free summer meal sites.

We are targeting schools, community organizations and others so together we can increase participation in this important nutrition program for kids. We’ve made this easy by including the information below on a mobile app called Free Meals for Kids. Please note that although these tools are being updated daily, they will not be totally up-to-date until the school year ends. Many sites are still working to finalize their schedules so don’t worry -- the app will be fully operational in time for summer break!
It would be great if you would include information on summer meals and promote the Free Meals for Kids mobile App in your current communication efforts through handouts, newsletters, websites, and electronic mailings in advance of the official kick-off of summer. No registration or prior sign-up is necessary for most sites. The sites which require prior registration are clearly marked on the site information. There are also free serving sites across the state at school, parks, recreation centers, community centers, and libraries. All kids up to age 18 can locate the nearest site, show up at the right time, and eat.

Our Christian Early Childhood Center in Hopkins is looking for people who love children and want to encourage them in their growth and development. We are looking for a nurturing people, with high energy, motivation, and the desire to make a difference in the lives of our children. Responsibilities include the care for the Infants in our center. We offer a fun, professional work environment, benefits, and financial retirement planning.
Responsibilities and Duties
Some responsibilities include but are not limited to: daily care of the Infants (feeding, diapering, helping with naps), supporting the other teachers in the room, planned activity implementation, and attending staff meetings and other continuing education hours.
Qualifications and Skills
We provide on-the-job training, but experience in an early childhood field is a benefit to both us as employers and you as an employee.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
