🚨⚽ Hopkins AYSO game Update ⚽

After inspecting the fields this morning, we've determined that they're currently better suited for mud wrestling than youth soccer. 🌧️🥾 With muddy field conditions and more rain still on the way, all Playground through U10 games scheduled for the morning of Saturday, 9/18, have been CANCELLED.

U12 players: Please keep an eye on your messages. Coaches will be reaching out directly regarding any game changes.

The board will also be working to reschedule all cancelled games and will provide updates at a later date.

In the meantime:
⚽ Practice your footwork in the hallway.
🌧️ Enjoy not having to wash muddy uniforms today.
🐷 Be thankful we're playing soccer and not competitive puddle jumping.

Stay dry, stay safe, and let's hope the fields remember they're soccer fields by next weekend! 😄⚽

📣 Hopkins AYSO Weather Update for Saturday Soccer! ⚽🌦️

As much as we'd love to have a crystal ball, Mother Nature hasn't shared her game plan with us yet. The weather forecast for tomorrow looks a little unpredictable, so any decisions regarding game cancellations will be made tomorrow morning based on field conditions and the latest weather updates.

✅ Please keep an eye on:
•Our Hopkins AYSO page
•Your email

We'll do our best to communicate any cancellations as early as possible. Our goal is to play as many games as we safely can, and we're hoping the weather decides to be a team player.

Until then, let's all join together in the traditional soccer parent rain dance: refreshing Facebook every 10 minutes while staring out the window and checking three different weather apps that all say something different. 😄

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We look forward to seeing as many players on the field as possible tomorrow!

⚽ Hopkins AYSO Board

P.S. U12 Families: Any game-related updates for U12 teams will come directly from your coaches. Please note that if Hopkins cancels games, that does not automatically mean U12 games will be canceled as well. Your coaches will communicate any changes specific to your team. ⚽

🟢 (3) U6 Coaches Needed

🚨Urgent Need for Volunteer Coaches - Help Make the Hopkins AYSO Season Happen! 🚨

The Hopkins AYSO soccer season is quickly approaching, and we're excited to welcome our players back to the field. However, we still have a critical need for volunteer coaches across several age divisions.

⚽Current Coaching Needs:

Playground: 2 coaches
U6: 3 coaches
U8: 2 coaches
U10: 1 coach
U12 Boys: 1 coach
U12 Girls: 1 coach (We have an assistant coach to help!)

Without enough coaches, we may be unable to form teams and provide a soccer experience for all registered players. Simply put, our season cannot happen without volunteers stepping up to coach.

The best part? No soccer experience is necessary! AYSO provides training, resources, and support to help coaches succeed. If you enjoy working with kids and want to make a positive impact in our community, coaching is a rewarding way to get involved.

Whether you're a parent, grandparent, former player, or community member, we encourage you to consider volunteering. The memories, friendships, and confidence our players gain each season are made possible by dedicated volunteers like you.

💙⚽💙⚽💙⚽💙⚽💙⚽💙⚽💙⚽💙⚽💙⚽
Interested in volunteering or learning more? Please contact us as soon as possible so we can ensure every child has the opportunity to play this season.

Thank you for supporting Hopkins AYSO and our players!
