Hello Friends!

I have applied to be a leader with an early childhood education (and fun) program called Tinkergarten (tinkergarten.com).
They train people to bring play-based outdoor education classes for kids ages 1-8 to communities all over the country.
Aspart of my application process, the team at Tinkergarten has asked me to make a demo video of me leading one of their
activities. So, I am looking to gather about 5 families to meet outside and give this a try. I will be recording the session, but
the video will only be viewed by the Tinkergarten team.
If you are up for giving this program a try with me, I would love tohave you join me!
I'm really excited about the program, and would love to have you be part of my demo.

Hello neighbors!

Judging by the poll most participants prefer the mid morning time. So to make it fair so that everyone gets a chance to help.

The first Saturday clean up will be held from 10:30am- 11:30am.

The second Saturday will be held from 9:45am- 10:45am.

I am aiming for April 14 to be our first meeting at City Point. This gives all participants a chance to make plans and plan around their day. The second clean up date will be held April 28. I will make an even page later after work that will have all the details. I want to thank all my neighbors for your support and hope to see a great turn out!

Hello neighbors!

My name is Chelsea and I am a mom who loves to be outside and if my son could have it his way he would practically live at the park. Pretty much any park with a playground, water, rocks, or some kind of dirt. We recently fallen in love the new play equipment at City Point and my son loves finding rocks to throw and skip in the water. On our first visit about a week ago I took my son down to the water to find rocks and noticed a lot of broken glass along the shore line. Some burried and next to impossible to see. I'm a mom that encourages my child to get dirty and to touch and pick up certain items outdoors to explore. I started to pick up the glass, a couple handfuls and took it to the garbage can and thought how great it would be to get the community together in efforts to keep our parks and water areas safe and clean for all children and friends to continue to enjoy.

On top of keeping our parks clean, my next goal is to get our children involved and educate them on why it is important to keep our mother earth clean, make new friends, and there will be playground equipment also to encourage physical activity and keep them active.

Of course there are things such as broken glass we surely do not want our children handling so we will leave things like that to the grown ups.

I appreciate your support and I will be posting more information soon on dates and times for meetings. Hopefully we can expand to other parks and recreation areas to keep all our children's play spaces clean!
