📌Here’s what a School Day with S2S will look like beginning Tuesday, September 8th at both and :⁣

👉🏽 Parent drop offs start at 6am, your child will have quiet time until the school day begins 😴⁣
👉🏽 S2S can pick your child up before the school day begins (pick up time depending on location) 🚌⁣
👉🏽 Breakfast is served at 8am until 8:30am 🧇⁣
👉🏽 Your child will be logged on to their virtual school day by the start of their classes between 8–9am (each school/grade varies) 👩🏽‍💻⁣
👉🏽 Your child’s learning will be supported by daily, and their progress tracked by the semester 👩🏾‍🏫⁣
👉🏽 Lunch is served beginning at noon or when scheduled within the virtual school day 🥪⁣
👉🏽 Snacks are provided at the end of the virtual school day 🍿⁣
👉🏽 After school, we have free time, enrichment activities, guest speakers, and sometimes outings! 🎭⁣
👉🏽 S2S drop offs start at 5:30pm, all parent pick ups by 6pm ✌🏽⁣

‼️‼️The S2S Youth Center on 500 S. Buren Street in Hopewell, VA will be offering emergency child care services for school aged- children (ages 6-16) during the closing of Hopewell Public Schools. ‼️‼️Let us take care of your child during the next two weeks while you go to work and prepare for what may be next in our community. We will be offering child care during the hours of 9am - 4pm with transportation available, breakfast, lunch, and snack included. 👈🏽👈🏽👈🏽👈🏽

Child Care Services will be offered for a weekly and daily fee. Fee will be determined when registration is completed. Transportation is an additional fee. Multiple sibling discounts available - up to 30% off.

Summer 2019 marks my 5th summer in Hopewell, VA and our 3rd summer in our own building at the ! 🙌🏽💪🏽 We have supported hundreds of children and their families in this community since 2014. We are still here! We are still making a difference! We are still growing! This Summer, we have youth from both Richmond and Hopewell sharing our space and learning together about social skills👫, entrepreneurship💡, community involvement✊🏽, self awareness 🙇🏽‍♂️🙇🏽‍♀️ and meditation🧘🏽‍♀️ with the help of some amazing community partners like 👏🏽🤞🏽⁣

The vision of S2S is to inspire youth and their families to breakaway from the limitations given by society, and to instead become SOMEBODY rather than SOMEBODY’S stereotype. We teach our youth to be SOMEBODY, instead of SOMEBODY’S! 👫🌎👫⁣

We were able to do some amazing things this summer! We see so many negative interactions with the police and our communities... and we were able to do something different for our kids. The officers from the Hopewell Police Department and the kids were both able to sit on the panel and openly discuss how they felt about their police interaction in their community and what they see on social media in others. Our mission was accomplished because the kids' voices were heard! We can only take one positive step at a time... next up our Teen Police Summit! 💪🏽
