✨ Yesterday was an incredible day at Hempstead Hall in Hope, AR! ✨

We had the honor of hosting 18 wonderful young ladies for the Miss Southwest Arkansas and Miss Ouachita River Scholarship Competitions. Together, we awarded over $5,000 in scholarships to help further their education. 💫

✨ NO local entry fee is required to compete with us! The only fee is what’s required by the Miss America Organization — that’s it!

📍Eligibility Info:

Miss Southwest Arkansas is a closed preliminary. To qualify, you must reside in or attend school in one of the following counties:
Calhoun, Clark, Cleveland, Columbia, Dallas, Grant, Hempstead, Hot Spring, Howard, Lafayette, Little River, Miller, Montgomery, Nevada, Ouachita, Pike, Polk, Sevier, or Union.

Miss Ouachita River is an open preliminary — any eligible contestant across Arkansas can compete!

👑 Haley Shourd – Miss Southwest Arkansas 👑�

Haley showed up and showed OUT this past week at Miss Arkansas! Representing Southwest Arkansas, she made us all proud, finishing as the 2nd Runner-Up overall! Haley’s star power was undeniable, winning On-Stage Conversation and Talent Preliminaries for the Alpha group, Overall Private Interview, and Overall Talent for the entire Miss Arkansas class!

Her vocal performance of “My Man” was nothing short of show-stopping—a beautiful, emotional moment that left the audience in awe.

Haley has consistently embodied strength, elegance, and confidence, and last week was a celebration of all the hard work and heart she’s poured into this journey. Watching her evolve into the poised, passionate woman she is today has been an absolute joy. We are so grateful for her and the way she has honored her title. Southwest Arkansas will never forget this year with Haley at the helm. ❤️

🌟 Cadence Heath – Miss Southwest Arkansas' Teen 🌟

Cadence absolutely shone on the Miss Arkansas' Teen stage last week, and we couldn’t be more proud of how she represented Southwest Arkansas! From the moment she stepped on stage, she brought confidence, personality, and a whole lot of heart, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of watching her.

Her on-stage conversation was a true standout. Cadence spoke with ease, authenticity, and warmth that had us all nodding along in admiration. Her lyrical dance to “Yes We Can” was a beautiful, moving performance that radiated strength and grace. And let’s talk about that custom blue velvet evening gown, pure elegance! She was a vision. 💙

Cadence has grown so much this past year, and it’s been such a joy to watch her blossom into a poised, passionate young woman who leads with kindness and confidence. We are endlessly grateful for her dedication, her heart, and the way she has carried the title of Miss Southwest Arkansas' Teen with pride. We are thrilled to share that Haley was named the Overall Preliminary Winner for the Alpha group in both On-Stage Conversation and Talent this week at Miss Arkansas!

Her hard work, heart, and dedication have truly shone on the stage, and we could not be more proud.

We have been excited to cheer her on during the competition, and hopeful for what’s still to come on Saturday night!
