We wanted to take a moment to send out a HUGE thank you to the Hopatcong Fire Department and Lakeland Emergency Squad! We work with these amazing partners every day, but recently they went above and beyond to help us out. We all know Mother Nature has been off her meds lately with the wild weather and one of the recent storms caused water to come into our 80+ year old building through our air conditioning unit causing some damage inside the building. Luckily, we were able to get to it quickly and start the repairs (it helps to have members with family connections for expertise help). Hopatcong Fire Department Company quickly came to our aid to provide temporary quarters within their building for our crews and a spot for one of our ambulances so that we could continue to provide emergency services to the community without interruption. Lakeland Emergency Squad also quickly came to the rescue by providing us with a portable air conditioner to allow us to keep the humidity down as well as allowing the team to work on the repairs without being our own patients from the heat. Repairs are quickly being completed and we are looking forward to providing some updates soon. The general public rarely gets to see all of the partnership that happens behind the scenes on a daily basis outside of 9-1-1 calls. Both these agencies have volunteers just like us that work long hours at their regular jobs, have families, etc., yet took the time to help us out in a jam. Thank you again to everyone for all that you do in our communities and for always helping each other. Looking to help out? Check out our page www.hopatcongems.org or the pages of Hopatcong Fire Department or Lakeland Emergency Squad for volunteer opportunities. Unable to volunteer? Consider making a donation. Thank you again for your continued partnership and stay safe out there!

๐ŸŒณ Lakeside Boulevard near Musconetcong Avenue
๐ŸŒณ Jefferson Trail (130 block)

Our officers, DPW, utility crews, and first responders continue working to safely clear roadways and restore normal conditions. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Keep calm and eat all the ice cream in the fridge. Itโ€™s not cheating on your diet when the power goes out. Stay safe out there.
