A big thank you to everyone who came out to our telescope workshop! We had a great time sharing our passion for astronomy, exploring how telescopes work, and helping everyone get more comfortable with observing the night sky.

Whether you're brand new to astronomy or looking to get more out of your current equipment, we hope you left with some useful knowledge and a little extra excitement for your next night under the stars!

We love seeing more people discover the wonders of the universe, and we're looking forward to seeing you at future events. Clear skies!

Thanks Joe Burke for snapping these photos.

8/12/2026 total solar eclipse as seen from Peñafiel, Spain.

We wanted to capture what it is like to experience a total solar eclipse. It gets noticeably darker and colder, especially during totality.

Footage on the ground is synchronized with a telescopic video that we captured. The overall eclipse duration is approximately 1 hr and 50 min, with totality lasting about 94 seconds. Playback is 100x speed (totality 40x)
