Sometimes I just laugh at the personalities that evolve in puppies! I’m reminded how different my teenagers were -especially when it came to their bedrooms. Here are three crates-the first is Truman’s’-he loves ALL the things and brings toys into his “bedroom” everyday. I have to take things out to make room for him!😆 Scout just likes little blankets-3 to be exact! And finally Bravo-he just wants one big fluffy crate mat! Love to watch the personalities shine in these facility dogs in training!

Bravo is about to go to his permanent placement at Bluff Park Elementary School! We are on our last hike together-just me and Bravo-at Red Mountain! I will miss this sweet poodle but he was destined to make lots of kids-and adults-very happy!

Whew!! Last week was super busy either way the FIDOS Facility Dogs in training working at so many schools and places! We went to Brock’s Gap and HCS administration, followed by kindergarten orientation at Bluff Park ES, then Crossroads and i3 academy, UAB School of Nursing, and wrapped up our week at Bumpus Middle and Dolly Ridge! We love training in the community and getting to meet so many wonderful people which is ideal for training our puppies and older dogs too! We will be back at it mid-next week! Thanks to all the schools for hosting us and providing a very positive experience!

Happy 5th Birthday Luna-toons! Luna is my OG standard poodle and is a whole lotta spice, a little nice, and loves to have one on one time laying in my lap! She’s had to share her people, home, and toys with all the FIDOS Facility dogs in training and so today, she will get to do a car ride-by herself-somewhere around town! If you see us out and about, tell the princess Happy Birthday! 🐩👑❤️

Thanks to Isabelle for volunteering to help work with Bravo and the puppies over the last couple of weeks! Not only is she a natural with dogs but also a hard working athlete and student, earning volunteer hours for the Honor Society! Today we were able to work on stays, deep pressure therapy and tucks. It takes a village to appropriately socialize and train these amazing dogs and we are grateful to people that help us!

Taking four, 16 week old puppies to the vet is a monumental task but these puppies are doing so well at their targeting (touch), focusing (look), and settling that this visit went really well!
