Thank you post pt.2 ❤️
The phrase “It takes a village”. A phrase we’re all familiar with, especially in our Samoan culture. This pageant experience could not have happened, without the help of my “village”, my aiga (family), my people. So much hard work and support went into my preparations for this pageant, and with this came a lot of financial expenses.
Fortunately for me, I have a village who continuously supports me through thick and thin. Whether it be monetary donations, organizing fundraisers, sponsored outfits, plane tickets, category preparations, or even words of encouragement & continuous likes & shares on my posts. All of these were crucial for my journey to Sweetheart, and I am eternally grateful to everyone who played a part in helping me achieve my goals of attending the Sweetheart Pageant. I truly am blessed with the best, and I couldn’t have asked for anything more than the love & support I have from my dearest loved ones.
Aunty Sofa & Uncle Timu who sponsored my plane rides to & from Hoopeston. Uncle Feka Sega & my Sega family who provided majority of my monetary aid which helped get my main category outfits, Interview Outfit and Parade wear props ready for pageant night. Christine Unutoa & Hopelyn Uele who had worked tirelessly, and late evenings to prepare my Parade State Costume. Aunty Donna who provided my Talent costume & her expertise on bettering my routine. My sisters Siu & Mili who worked behind the scenes to shoot my headshots, intro video, & organized my main fundraiser (Pō Siva). My directors Troy Smith & Katie Dyches for giving me such an opportunity to represent Alaska and sponsoring my pageant fees. My sweet Aunty Taui & Uncle Benzo Sega for sponsoring my evening gown. My family who continuously support me online through likes and comments. And last but not least, my dearest mommy & dad Mara & Frank Gaisoa who have my back like no other, always quick to get what I need and just being the best pageant parents a girls could ask for! (Please forgive me if I’ve forgotten to mention anybody)
