Hooksett School Board โ€“ Facilities Committee Update
The Facilities Committee would like to thank the community for its support of the $7.25 million bond warrant. With voter approval secured, the committee is pleased to share an update on the project timeline and ongoing facilities work.
The committee met with Harvey Construction and Turner Group on March 30th. Both firms anticipate that finalized design and bid documents will be completed by the end of April 2026. These documents will allow the project to move into the bidding phase, keeping the original timeline on track for construction to begin in Spring 2027. Harvey has a lot of experience upgrading school facilities and will work with school administration to make sure that any work does not impact students safety or learning experience.
Bond paperwork is expected to be filed by April 24, allowing the district to participate in the July bond bank. There is also a possibility that some preliminary work could begin this summer if contractor availability and material procurement align in a way that results in cost savings for the district.
The Facilities Committee will continue to provide updates to the community as the project progresses.
In addition to the bond project, the committee is working closely with Facilities Director Dean Farmer, Harvey Construction, and Turner Group to develop a comprehensive, long-range Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for the district extending through 2040. Mr. Farmer has dedicated significant time and effort to this work, incorporating input from the committee and industry professionals.
The CIP is now live and available on the district website. Please note that this is a dynamic document that will be reviewed annually and may be adjusted as needed to address facility conditions, project scope changes, emergency repairs, and funding considerations.

Finally, the committee has utilized the CIP to develop recommendations for summer maintenance projects to be funded through the districtโ€™s fund balance. These recommendations are being finalized for presentation to the full School Board ahead of its annual retreat.
