Please join NH COSH and the New Hampshire AFL-CIO as we honor workers with the annual Workers’ Memorial Dinner.

Date: TODAY - April 28th
Time: 5:30 PM
Location: 161 Londonderry Turnpike, Hooksett, NH

On Workers Memorial Day, America’s unions mourn the workers who have lost their lives or been injured or made ill on the job. Every worker should be able to go home after their shift safe and healthy, and we’ll keep fighting like hell to make that a reality for every worker.

"SB 416 seeks to allow restaurant owners to create mandatory tip pools in which they are allowed to share tips that are typically reserved for ‘front of house’ (dining staff) workers with ‘back of house’ workers (kitchen staff), even while continuing to pay ‘front of house’ workers a subminimum wage. Current federal law allows tip sharing with ‘back of house’ workers ONLY IF all workers, including ‘front of house’ workers are paid a full minimum wage, since without a full minimum wage, ‘front of house’ workers rely on tips to bring them to the full minimum wage. In this way, SB 416 likely violates federal law and New Hampshire workers can pursue litigation to stop this bill from going into effect if this bill passes. " - One Fair Wage

SB 101 would set up a system where local tax dollars flow out of towns, following students who can afford to leave and leaving the kids who stay behind with less. Sign in against at TinyURL.com/SubmitNHTestimony

Our Manchester Airport TSA workers need our help! These union employees are working to keep our state moving and the people traveling safe. They are accepting donations of gas cards or supermarket cards to assist them during the time they are going without pay.

There is a collection box at the Manchester Regional Airport for these gift cards. They cannot accept cash or check, but can accept gas and supermarket gift cards. Alternatively, you may send them to/or drop them off at the New Hampshire AFL-CIO at 161 Londonderry Turnpike, Hooksett, New Hampshire 03106. We will then make sure they are delivered to these union TSA members that are working to make sure that you can go about your lives.

Thank them for their service and their sacrifice!✊
