What a great job the Independents did yesterday at the ministry. It was nice to have Mianna back at the front and all of our regular volunteers as well. Thank you all for all you do to help so many families!

The Lord supplied a real need for the ministry yesterday. We had a lot of things we needed to move from the front of the building and off the trailer in the back. However, we didn’t have the manpower to get it finished. Well, a man saw Andy and asked him if he needed some help getting all the stuffed moved. Andy told him we sure did. By 8:00 Saturday morning two high school students came to the back door and said, “We are here to help!”
What a blessing they were too! They loaded five truck loads to clean up around the ministry, and went with Andy to deliver a truck full of items that a family needed. And it didn’t stop there. A family asked me if we would like to have all of the things that were left from their garage sale for the ministry, and I said, “Yes, that would be awesome!” Seth and I went to pick it up at 3:00 yesterday afternoon. A year ago they had an estate sale but still had a lot left so they decided to have a garage sale. They sold a lot of things, but still had a full trailer bed and our truck full of items to donate.

They told us they were going to bring the trailer to Ho**er. I thought oh my, we are going to need help unloading all the boxes and other things. I texted the mother of the young men who came to help us, and she said, “Yes! They can help!” So their whole family came to help unload, and on top of that, two other people came to help us!” We had 10 people helping us unload the truck and the large trailer. What a wonderful blessing all of those were that helped! May the Lord bless each one of you ABUNDANTLY!

Then when we got to church, I forgot to pick up the donations from two families last Wednesday, so we put those in the back of the pickup. When we were almost finished eating, I received a text from my friend that she had some things to donate, so we went by her house, and then a lady asked last week if we could come by her house on Sunday to get her donations! We headed home with a truckful of donations for families in need! Then I received another text from a lady in our church wanting to meet us at the ministry with a carload of donations from her son’s family garage sale! What an AWESOME group of people who are always willing to give to those in need out of their generosity! THANK ALL OF YOU SO MUCH!

Two young boys were thrilled to get the two bikes with training wheels. One was for a very young guy, and the other was for a boy in first or second grade. Well, an older boy came to the ministry, who had never learned to ride a bike and asked his mom if he could have it. She said, “Yes!” And he was so excited. Thank you so much for the bikes for those two guys!

A mother brought her three children to the ministry for clothing. Her daughter is in middle school, her older son in elementary school and her baby. We were trying to help her find clothes for all of them. When she left she had the biggest smile on her face and said, “Thank you all so much!” She had found clothes for her whole family and was so excited! What a blessing you are to so many!

What a blessing all the children’s shoes, socks and clothes were to so many! Brenda was so excited to be able to fill the children’s room again with all sizes. The diapers were also a blessing to several mothers! Other mothers found baby furniture, diaper bags, socks, and other things their children needed! Thank you so much!

The children loved all the toys and all the books. A little girl was so excited to get the little kitchen set, and all the children had their bags full of books, stuffed animals and toys. Thank you!

Two ladies were so excited to get the vacuums you donated. One lady did not have one at all, and the lady needed one that worked! What a blessing! Thank you!

Thanks to all of you who donated jeans, we had enough for all the men that needed those. They were so grateful for those and all the socks as well!

A church had started a nursery, but didn't have a changing table/baby bed.. Whoever donated the changing table/bed, you definitely answered their prayers. And it even rolls.
They were so excited! Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for the brand-new swim suits. There were two ladies that needed swimsuits, and there they were in their sizes. They were so excited to receive those!

What a blessing all the kitchen items, plates, plastic ware, coffee maker, dish towels, and so many other items who donated were to so many ladies. They were very grateful that you all met their needs!

The men’s caps and NIKE shirts all went really fast to men that needed those. They couldn’t believe there were so many shirts in their sizes. THANK YOU!

A lady had breast cancer surgery and needed large pajamas with buttons in the front. Someone donated a large bag of women’s pajamas and gowns, and there were two brand-new pairs of pajamas with buttons SIZE LARGE. The lady was so very grateful and wants to thank you so much for meeting her needs!
Devotion: “True Victory” “Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” James 4:7 “It is war! The enemy's time is short! Jsus is coming soon! But thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph in Him. Remember that true victory is only found in faith’s obedience to God’s Word. As you go forth to battle, keep bringing every thought captive to Jesus Christ and don’t give the devil any place in your mind or in your life.” Kay Arthur

WE WILL BE CLOSED SATURDAY, MAY 23, FOR MEMORIAL WEEKEND.

Originally we were supposed to be closed, but several volunteers said they could help, so we wouldn’t be closed two weeks in a row. Thank you to all of those who helped today. Some even left to go to graduation and returned afterwards to help. Thank you all so much for being a blessing. We were able to serve over 75 people through your generosity.

Right after we opened a fifth grader came in and asked me if we had any swimsuits that would fit her. I took her back to Brenda, and she said, “I just put two out.” So Brenda took the girl to the place where they were. I saw the girl later and asked if she found a swimsuit. She said, “I found two, and they will work great! I was invited to a swim party, but I didn’t have any swimsuits, but now I do!” She was so excited. She also found a purse to give her mom that you donated. Thank you all so much for meeting her needs!

Brenda is needing children’s clothing and shoes. The children’s shoes are almost all gone. She has so many mothers asking her for diapers and baby formula. She would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you so much!

We went to pick up a donation from a family that is moving. They donated a sofa, a love seat, clothes, and a lot of kitchen items such as glass bowls, cups, and other glassware. Those were all such a wonderful blessing for so many people. Thank you so much!

The small table someone donated was perfect for a family that needed it and one of the dressers. Thank you so much for meeting their needs.

Solomon was back still walking and doing really great. Rod had found several dress coats and pants for him and his brother. He was so proud of them. He also found lamps, sheets, books, an oil lamp, the iron you donated, and he told me his light bulb burned out and asked if we had some. I let him pick all he needed. He also asked for size 32-38 dress pants and any used laptop or computer. He really appreciates all of your help and wants to thank you so much for meeting his needs.

Wow, the small ceramic heater and charger were greatly appreciated by a family that received those. They want to thank you so much for your generosity! You are truly a blessing.

The ladies loved all the beautiful purses and small bags that you donated. They were so proud of them. Several of them did not even have a purse. Thank you so much!
What a blessing all the ladies’ belts were to so many, as well as the underwear, shoes, clothing and makeup. One young lady asked for a pair of size 5-6 sandals, and Yolanda helped her find a really nice pair in the back that hadn’t been put out. The girl was so proud of them. Thank you all for meeting so many needs.

We were getting really low on bedding, then you all donated several bags of light throws, sheets, bedspreads, pillows, mattress covers and even curtains. Thank you so much!

A mother and her two girls were so proud of the dishes they received along with all the clothing, shoes, and other items they needed. Thank you!

All the children filled their bags with toys, dolls and stuffed animals. They were so excited.
Thank you so much!

Devotion: “The Battle is the Lord’s!” “The captain of the LORD’S host said to Joshua, “remove your sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so.” Joshua 5:15 “The battle is not yours but the Lord’s! And because it is His and not yours, it must be fought His way. You are to stand firm in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Deliverance comes from the Lord! Don’t go into battle without the Captain of the Host.” Kay Arthur

Thank you so much to the Lutheran Church for all their help and support to the ministry. They are truly a wonderful blessing!

I had a call this past week for a toaster oven, and I told the lady if one came in I would get it to her. She needed something to cook in. Well, I did not see anything in the donation bin or in the kitchen area. Then after we opened this morning, a lady walked up to me with a small TOASTER OVEN and asked if she could have it. I told her that someone had already asked for that one, but if another one came in I would save it for her. She told me that would be fine with her. I have no idea where she found it, but I am so grateful she did. Thank you so much for meeting her need.

Thank you so much for the dryer. What a wonderful blessing for the lady that needed it. We are to deliver it on Wednesday. She will be so excited and grateful!

Thank you so much for all the garage sale boxes, hangers and bags. They were all full of clothes, jeans, dresses, skirts and so many other things we needed at the ministry. Thank you so much for being a blessing to so many.

So many families needed hand towels, wash clothes, and towels. Through your donations all families’ needs were met. They were all so very thankful for each one. Thank you so much!

A lady came in asking for pots and pans. Someone donated just what she needed. She was so excited. Thank you so much for meeting her needs.

Another lady came in who needed plates, a rice cooker, a skillet, curtains, and hand towels. She received everything she needed, thanks to you! She was so very grateful and couldn’t believe your generosity. Thank you so much!

Brenda and her helper were super busy in the children’s department helping so many parents find clothing for their children. Thank you so much for all the baby items, shoes, clothing, coats, blankets, winter clothing, and diapers for the children. We did have one mother who asked for baby formula, but we are out. If anyone has any extra to donate, that would be a great help. Thank you so much!

The candle holders you donated were so beautiful, as well as all the decorations and flowers. All the ladies that received those were so proud of them. Thank you!
Someone donated a beautiful bouquet of pink silk flowers with a pink ribbon on them. All handmade. A little girl was standing there, and I asked her if she would like to give the flowers to her mother for mother’s day. Her little eyes got so big, and she nodded yes. When I gave them to her, she took them straight to her mother, who just loved them. She couldn’t wait until tomorrow. Thank you so much for helping that little girl to give her mother a special gift.

All the toys were a big hit as usual. Toward the end of the morning our toy bucket was getting very low. A mother and her two little girls came into the ministry. While the mother looked for clothing, the little girls were looking for toys, but their sacks were empty. I looked in the kitchen and saw the last tub of toys we had. I let them go in and get what they wanted. They found dolls, stuffed animals and a little pink table with two chairs. They were so, so excited. Thank you so much!

So many ladies could use all the storage and organizer containers, baskets, shelves, laundry items, and kitchen items that you donated. They were very grateful for each item.
Thank you for meeting their needs.

What a blessing all the cups, glasses, water bottles, glassware and personal items were to several families. THANK YOU!

Someone asked if they could donate winter clothing. Yes, you can donate any seasonal clothing at any time throughout the year. The ladies sort through them all and right now are putting all the winter clothing in tubs. The guys and ladies take them to the trailer, where Rod organizes all of them, so when we need them, he is ready to bring them in. He is constantly checking the racks to see what needs to be restocked, while Yolanda takes care of all the shoes. So please feel free to donate any type of clothing or shoes year around. Thank you.

What a blessing the Coleman ice chest is to a teacher who needs one to put water in for their class field trip this week. She wants to thank whoever donated it. It is truly an answer to prayer. Thank you so much!

Wow! Thank you so much for all the bags of men’s clothing, suits, dress pants, shirts, hoodies, underwear, jeans, and shoes that you donated. What a great blessing for so many men! Thank you so much.

Thank you also for all the ladies’ pajamas, shoes, pants, tops, underwear, dresses, skirts, jackets, formals, and suits. So many ladies received what they needed thanks to you!

There were two ladies who had never been to the ministry before, so they were so excited going through all the clothes, shoes, and other items. They filled their bags and left and couldn’t believe they received all the things they needed free. Then Andy came in the back door with several pieces of clothing and shoes. He said, “The two ladies wanted to return these. They did not fit them, and they thought someone else could use them.” That was really awesome!

Devotion: “ Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus” “Let us also lay aside every encumbrance…and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus.” Hebrews 12:1,2 If we are going to run the race set before us, we must never take our eyes off the goal–and we must run in our lane. What God asks, does, or requires of others is not our business; it is His. We are to be faithful to His calling on our lives. He’s the one waiting with His reward at the finish line.” Kay Arthur

Special needs: A toaster oven, lamp shade that sits on top of a light bulb, all spring and summer clothing and shoes in all sizes, especially youth to young teens, kitchen table for two, sofas, a television, an iron, refrigerator, we have had several request for small tables, pots and pans, diapers (all sizes), queen headboard and foot board, ottoman, two washers and one dryer, a cord for an electric skillet, children’s books, furniture of any kind, especially living room and kitchen tables and chairs, fans, maternity clothes, pajamas and gowns, men’s jeans, lamps, TOYS, belts, summer children’s small to XL boy’s shirts and pants, shelves, an electric stove, dressers, full, queen and king sheets, bedspreads, chairs, purses, dishes, pots and pans, glasses, cups, cooking utensils, plastic ware, purses, pictures to hang on the walls, curtains, adult underwear, bras, shoes of all sizes kids-adults, especially tennis shoes, lotions, towels (both bath and kitchen), glassware, and any other items you want to donate. THE MINISTRY WILL BE CLOSED NEXT SATURDAY, MAY 2, DUE TO PIONEER DAY AND SEVERAL OF OUR VOLUNTEERS BEING OUT OF TOWN!

The AFM Board #1 did an outstanding job today at the ministry. Every donation that we had received throughout the week and today was sorted and put up. Thank you so much for all your help!

A BIG THANK YOU goes to all of you who donated men’s and women’s jeans. We were able to restock the racks. There were 34/32, 32/32, 40/30, 36/32 and so many more that we needed. As I was going through one of the bags, a lady came up to me and asked if we had any 34/32 or 32/32 men’s jeans. Her husband really needed some. Do you know what I had just hung on the rack to go out? YES, two pairs of 34/32 and one pair of 32/32 JEANS!!! She was so very grateful. Thank you so much for meeting her needs.

Someone the week before had donated beautiful ladies’ belts, watches, bracelets, necklaces, earrings and jewelry bags in two boxes, but we hadn’t had time to sort them. Well today, Mianna sorted and put them all out for all the ladies to receive one of their choice. All of them were so excited to receive one and were so proud of them. Thank you so much!!!

A grandmother was so excited to get the sewing machine to make and mend things for her family. She was so excited. Thank you so much!

You can’t imagine how many clothes, shoes, and ladies’ and men’s underwear are taken each week. With that said, all the clothing, shoes, and especially the men’s and ladies’ underwear were such a blessing to so many families. They are truly grateful for all of your donations. Thank you so much!

The man came in today who needed a pair of 13W shoes, and Yolanda had found one pair that fit him perfectly. He was so very thankful and was giving everybody a hug. He would have definitely hugged the person who met his need. Thank you so much!

A boy came up to me and said, “I am going to be in the fifth grade next year, and we play with the little pool table we got from here everyday! I told him that was wonderful. Then Rod was telling me that his sister lives on a road where he has to run the grater and every time he does, she is standing by the road holding up her road grater to show him. They both found more toys today and a DVD player. He said, “Oh boy! My family can really use this!” Thank you so much for being a blessing to that family.
Today we had something donated that we never have had before. “Quail Eggs” The mother of the boy and girl mentioned above came back and asked if we thought someone would like quail eggs. I told her I was sure there would be someone. She went home and returned with four dozen quail eggs. When it was time to go, did you know every dozen were gone! Thank you so much!

Thanks to Rod all of the ministry lights are working again. We had several out in the main area, and it was getting really dim, so he got the ladder and replaced every one of them. It looks so much brighter now. Thank you Rod!

What a blessing all the children’s clothing, shoes, and swimsuits were. So many mothers were very grateful for the bags of clothing they found for their children and infants. Thank you for meeting their needs.

The mothers as well as the children were so excited going through all the children’s books you donated. They were all types for all ages. Thank you so much!

A church had donated about thirty water guns for the children for summer. All the kids were so excited. I am not so sure about all the mothers, but the kids will definitely have fun! The children also loved all the stuffed animals and other toys you gave them. Thank you!

Do you know out of all the water bottles you donated, only a very few were left? Thank you!

THANK YOU for all the dresses you donated this week, along with the formals, they were all so beautiful. It is very hard for us to keep the dress and skirt rack restocked, so we are very grateful for all of your donations.

Thank you so much for the two desks and the headboard with the mirror. They will be a real blessing for those that receive them..

Brenda was diligently restocking and trying to keep everything organized in the infant and children’s rooms. Thank you for all the shoes, baby walker, swimsuits, clothing, and blankets. She had several ladies’ with babies ask for diapers, but she was out of them. Any donations of diapers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What a blessing the Independents were today at the ministry. We had so many families needing help, and all of them worked together to meet their needs. Thank you so much!

Wow! What a week of the Lord’s blessings. A lady texted me last Monday with a list of things a lady and her daughter needed. Her daughter just had a little boy. (He is two weeks old now.) They had no beds, no bedding, rugs, no table and chairs, the couch they had, had the springs popping through the cushions, no towels, no side tables, no recliners, no iron, very little kitchen things…well you get the picture. They really needed help. I took pictures of a couch we had, a round coffee table, a recliner and a desk that they could use to put their food on, since they had only a few cabinets. Then a man texted me telling me he had a trailer full of household items and furniture he wanted to donate. I was so excited, I texted the lady back who was trying to help this family. I set a time with him to meet at the ministry. On Tuesday at 4:30, Andy, Seth and I met him, and he brought three young men to help unload everything. PRAISE THE LORD! He went to the front first to unload, because he had: BEDS, BEDDING, BLANKETS, TOWELS, CUSHIONS, AN IRON, KITCHEN ITEMS, A CABINET, RUGS, SIDE TABLES, and so much more. Everything they needed was on that trailer. Someone else had donated a small round glass table with two chairs that they could use in their small kitchen.

Then I set up a date with the lady to set up a time to meet with the family. Well, on Thursday about 4:30, we met them at the ministry. We let them go through and select whatever they needed. They couldn’t believe it and were in shock that all their needs were met. By the time they finished we had our two trucks full of everything except the cabinets, but I am delivering it in the morning on our way to church. All of us took it to their trailer and unloaded all of the things they needed. We were all praising the Lord! They kept thanking us, but I told her to thank the Lord who provided all of her needs through the ones who donated them. We prayed with them before we left. They definitely want to thank the man who donated all of the wonderful things for her and her family, and the family who donated all the rest of things that they needed. THANK YOU ALL SO, SO MUCH!

Even after they took all they needed, we still had so many things for all the families this morning along with all of the other donations from all of you. A family came in and needed a couch. Well, we had one left, but they had no way to get it to their house. Andy told them they could take it to them. So they loaded it on our pickup and took it to their house. When it was unloaded the man asked Seth how much he owed him, and Seth told them nothing. It was all free. The man looked so shocked and thanked him so much! No thank you for being such a blessing!
Then a lady, who has been in Ho**er about a year, came in looking for a dresser. We had the white one that came off the trailer. She was so excited when she saw it and asked if someone could help get it to her house. So Andy and Seth loaded it and took it to her house. She was so appreciative and so happy to get it. Thank you so much!

With all the donations, the ministry was really stocked. Another man came in needing a table and chairs, and one had been on the trailer. He was so very grateful. A mother came in and needed a table, and she received the last one in the ministry. People were thanking everyone for all the dishes, glasses, blender, fryer, air fryer, the knives, the small grill, the two toaster ovens, the bedding, the toaster, the lamps, the Splenda, the crock pot, all the kitchen utensils, the bags, the suitcases, silverware, and all the other wonderful kitchen items that you all donated. What a blessing for so many! Thank you so much!

All the ladies were so excited to get the make-up bags, jewelry, the jewelry boxes, the decorations, lotions, make-up, personal items, hair brushes, purses, even canned pickles and tomatoes, all the cans of food, bags of beans, and all the other things that make them feel really special.

The men were so grateful for all the yard equipment and tools. And thank you so much for all the men’s jeans, shirts, socks, shoes, clothing and hoodies. Those were so awesome! Thank you so much!

A lady came in that had been praying and trying to find two stadium chairs. A lady came in the back with TWO RED STADIUM CHAIRS. The lady that received them was thanking and praising the Lord and wants to thank whoever donated those to meet her need. She has always wanted a rice cooker too, and someone donated one that she received. She is so very grateful! What a blessing for her. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for all the books, the toys, board games, pastels, the baseball and softball gloves, cleats, bats, gear, puzzles, and the microscope. The little boy that received the microscope was so excited and couldn’t wait to get to use it. One mother was looking for a batting helmet for her little girl and was so relieved to find one. Thank you so much for meeting so many needs!

A young teenager came in and her name began with a “S”. One of the necklaces that someone donated had the initial “S” on it. She was so excited to get it. Thank you!

Brenda was so thankful for all the baby and children's shoes, clothing, underwear, socks, diapers, baby bedding, and pads that you donated. Thank you so much!

Someone donated over 15 pairs of pajamas. Those were definitely a blessing for so many people. So many people found clothing, scrubs, shorts, shoes, jeans, dresses, and many other items they needed. Thank you so much for all your donations!

Rod, our restocker, told me we hardly have any youth and teenage clothing left. We would greatly appreciate any that you have to donate. Thank you so much for all the youth clothing you donated today!
Devotion: “Our Struggle” “Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12 “Are there times when you feel as if an army has come against you?
