Columbia Gorge Cat Rescue's primary purposes are to:

- serve as an animal rescue organization in the Columbia Gorge, Oregon area, that shelters and fosters homeless cats and kittens until good homes are found

- reduce the feral and homeless cat populations through spay and neuter programs

- and bring more public awareness to the plight of homeless cats through education and outreach.

Our next 2 clinics for feral and stray unowned cats is Wed / Thurs Sept 2nd and 3rd and then on Sept 16th and 17th. Our goal is to try to help reduce cat colonies in the Columbia Gorge with spay / neuter services. We only have a single veterinarian on any given day but there's still room on the calendar. We assess any kitties for inclusion in our super adoption program and the rest are sent home never to produce another homeless cat ever again. JULY 29/30 is our next spay/neuter clinic for homeless STRAY AND FERAL cats in the Columbia Gorge area, to help stop the needless reproduction. We still have room on our schedule. We also have a great adoption program and include as many cats and kittens as we can. If you are dealing with kittens born to these stray/feral colonies, the best thing you can do is to spend time with them so they become friendly and adoptable. Our next spay/neuter clinic for stray and feral cats Is July 8th and 9th. We still have room on our schedule. We have a great adoption program and include as many cats and kittens as we can. If you are dealing with kittens born to these stray/feral kitties, the best thing you can do is to spend time with them so they become friendly and adoptable. Roxy and her 6 newborn kittens were found off an obscure forest trail by someone walking their dog. The dog (and his person) is our Hero because he actually went off trail and led his person to the group tucked into the brush. He must have heard something a person probably could not. This good samaritan went to great lengths to get Roxy and her new, newborns all back downhill to safely; quite a task with that big load of kittens and mom, a steep trail, l and a completely unanticipated situation. Thank YOU both. This sweet cat was not meant to be found by whomever was cruel enough to dump her in this obscure location, pregnant and alone. But thanks to this kind person and her hero dog they were saved.

Roxy is still a kitten herself now only 8 months old. She became a mom at 6 months and missed out on her own kittenhood; she has been a very good mom taking care of them in her foster home with alot of love and support. Not to mention how pretty she is with her medium long fur, bright pink nose, eyes looking at you as though she all ready knows you. She has an old soul. Roxy is shown here with Rilley (black) and Russell (grey) two of her 6 kids. The family tree of the Gang of 6 includes: Rilley, Robbie, Rosi, Roy, Rufin and Russel. All can be seen on petfinder, We hope you can take it into your heart to give Roxy and these beautiful kittens a home so they can begin the life of leisure which they so greatly deserve.

Guess what?! May 27 / 28 - our next spay/neuter clinic for stray and feral cats still has a bit of room on the schedule. We assess all friendly kittens and cats for inclusion into our nice adoption program (We are a rescue, after all.) regardless, they are all fixed to help ensure fewer homeless cats born out there.
