🌲 BIG NEWS AT GRC! 🌲

This is the load we’ve been dreaming of—and one we know many of our community members have been dreaming of too.

We just received a beautiful shipment of lumber, including:

✔ Clear Vertical Grain Fir
✔ Premium 1” lumber
✔ Rough-cut lumber
✔ Tongue & Groove boards
✔ Fir posts
✔ Various widths and lengths

And don’t forget to dig a little! There are also some miscellaneous pieces, specialty boards, and odds-and-ends mixed throughout the load. Sometimes the hidden treasures are the best finds.

A special thank you goes out to our very own Craftsman Elf, who helped make this happen by sourcing, staging, organizing, and getting this incredible load ready for the community. We also want to thank the rest of the GRC team who jumped in to help unload, sort, organize, price, and prepare everything for the sales floor.

This material is being sold on consignment, and the pricing is already set at exceptionally good rates. Because of that:

👉 Prices are firm
👉 No bartering or discounts available
👉 Staff and volunteers cannot change pricing
👉 First come, first served

The exciting part? If this load moves quickly, it increases the likelihood that we can bring in additional loads in the future. That means more quality lumber available locally at prices that are hard to beat.

🪣 Colanders & strainers — already have drainage holes, perfect hanging planters

🧺 Old suitcases — open one up, line it, fill with soil. Wildly charming.

🍳 Mismatched pots & pans — drill a hole in the bottom, instant quirky planter

👢 Old boots or shoes — stuff with soil and herbs, adorable porch display

🪑 Wooden chairs with broken seats — drop a pot through the hole, instant garden art

🧲 Tin cans / vintage tins — herb gardens on a windowsill or fence

🚿 Old colanders, buckets, even a watering can — plant directly inside

Sunday Series — Week 5

Goal 1 of our 10-year plan: Get the store in order.
Before we can grow, we have to make sure our foundation is solid.

That means a safe, clean, accessible, and welcoming store experience for every single person who walks through ourdoors.
Our 10-year vision includes a community workshop space, bilingual signage, an iconic reused-material art piece at the entrance, and even a coffee shop. We're building toward something special — one step at a time.

This is our roadmap — not our rulebook. We want your input on what would make GRC even better.

Something about this morning at the GRC just felt GOOD. 🌿✨

One of our regular volunteers surprised us with this peaceful little rock sculpture made completely from materials found around the store. It was the very first thing I saw when I walked in this morning, and honestly… it just made the whole place feel calm, creative, and alive. 💛

Things are getting cleaned up, organized, and refreshed over here, and the vibes are vibing. 😌

How cool is this?! ✨🌿

Susanna stopped by the Gorge Rebuild-It Center to show us these BEAUTIFUL little terrariums she created using repurposed light covers from GRC! (Yes… those old light fixture covers/light shades you’ve probably walked right past before 👀)

She combined reused materials with moss, succulents, and pieces gathered from her own backyard to create these tiny magical landscapes — and then came back today to buy MORE light covers to make even more creations!

This is exactly why we love reuse so much:
💚 creativity
💚 sustainability
💚 reimagining everyday objects
💚 keeping materials out of the landfill
