Looking for volunteers for this year’s Okinawan Festival to support Shinka at the Admissions Booth on Saturday, September 5th & Sunday, September 6th, 2026!

Responsibilities Include: counting money and issuing tickets/wristbands for admission.

Volunteer Shifts: Morning shift: 7:30 am -11:30 -am; afternoon shift: 11:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Support our club by buying Okinawan Festival scrips! If you’re heading to the festival this year, buy scrips ahead of time and pick it up at the festival!

30% of all the proceeds made from scrips bought through our club will go directly back to Shinka! Scrips are sold in $10 sheets and 1 scrip is equivalent to $1.

Join us on Saturday, July 18 from 10 am - 6 pm for our Summer Picnic in collaboration with Chinagu Eisa Hawaii ☀️⛱️

Bring your own beach gear, a main dish to share, and be ready to have some fun! We will provide the starches, paper goods, and games for everyone to participate in! Swipe to the next picture to see where we will be located.

Choichi Kai USA, and jr. Shinka members from Hawaii Okinawa Creative Arts for keeping us entertained all night long!

Omedetou to Chris Iwamura, Shinka’s 2026 Uchinanchu of the Year! 💜

As the 3rd generation owner of Rainbow Drive-In, Chris is responsible for leading and all its subsidiaries through his generation and on to the next. He is very passionate about evolving Rainbow Drive-In while not sacrificing the comfort food and nostalgia that guests come to expect. Along with the main location, Chris helps to grow the merchandise store, franchise business, and Hawaii’s Favorite Kitchens. Chris also volunteers his time within the community serving on the Executive Council and Board of Directors for the Hawaii United Okinawa Association. His grandparents, who started Rainbow Drive-In, were proud Okinawans and he looks to honor all they did for him by giving back to a community they loved.
