Get Ready for The Music Video Premiere of “Friends” by the Honolulu Broadway Babies and Friends (Perpetuating Unity and Love)
When: Wednesday, November 25 (Thanksgiving Eve)
Honolulu Broadway Babies (HBB) is a Non-Profit Organization, supporting Individuals who are Developmentally and Intellectually Unique, through Education and Performing Arts.
During these times of trials and uncertainties, HBB wants to reach out to our community, and help uplift the spirits of mankind through the power of Music.
In early October, HBB called on some Broadway and Pop friends from all over world, especially Hawai’i Artists, to join hands in spirit, and sing the Iconic Local Song – “Friends,” made popular by C & K.
Within a two-week timeframe, Founder - Kristian Lei, collaborated with Music Producer – Nick La’a, to create a moving and inspiring chorale arrangement of the Popular tune. Immediately following that, over 35 Amazing Volunteers had two and a half weeks to learn their parts and submit their vocal and video recordings, in order to meet the New York and Los Angeles Editors’ deadlines. The fascinating thing is that majority of the cast used their phones to do all the recording and the editors did their magic to create a beautiful presentation!
Lei says, “We, as Artists, quickly got together virtually with the intention to perpetuate Love and Unity throughout the world. We want to share a powerful message of joy, friendship, and give a reminder that we are a great big global Ohana.”
The public premiere of “Friends,” by the Honolulu Broadway Babies and Friends, will be released on Youtube, Facebook and some radio platforms, on the Eve of Thanksgiving, November 25, 2020.
