The WSRSL Student Animal Legal Defense Fund is dedicated to providing a forum for education and advocacy aimed at protecting the lives and advancing the interests of animals through the legal system, and raising the profile of the field of animal law. 2020 - 2021 Board:

This past June, the Animal Legal Defense Fund (Animal Legal Defense Fund) hosted a reception in Honolulu, bringing together animal advocates, attorneys, legislators, and members of the Hawaiʻi community.

Our SALDF members Anna Maidment and Sumin Kim had the opportunity to attend and connect with leaders in animal law and advocacy, including ALDF Executive Director Chris Green, Chief Programs Officer Caitlin Hawks, Legislative Affairs Manager Lindsay Vierheilig, Hawaiʻi Board Member Ginny Tiu, Senator Mike Gabbard, and Senator Chris Lee.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to connect with ALDF leadership and Hawaiʻi lawmakers working to advance protections for animals. 🐢🐙🦈🐾

Mahalo to ALDF for bringing the animal law community together here in Hawaiʻi! 🌺
