After a decade of dedicated leadership, we share our heartfelt mahalo with our President and CEO, Paddy Kauhane, who will retire from the organization on March 31, 2027.

Under her leadership, our organization grew stronger, our reach expanded, and more local youth gained access to the support, opportunities and encouragement they need to succeed.

While we will miss Paddy’s leadership and dedication, we are grateful for the foundation she helped build and the lasting positive impact it will continue to have on generations of youth.

A little change can make a BIG difference for our teens! 💙

We are incredibly grateful to the Taco Bell Foundation for awarding Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii a $175,000 Community Grant in support of our
What’s Next Initiative, helping our teens prepare for life after high school and supporting them beyond graduation.

What’s Next is about exactly that: helping teens figure out what comes next.

Through this 12-week program, teens explore who they are, where they want to go and the steps they need to take to get there. From academic readiness and postsecondary exploration to life skills, healthy lifestyles and workforce development, What’s Next gives
teens the tools, experiences and guidance to graduate high school with a plan for their future.

And here's the incredible part: you help make support like this possible! Every time you Round Up your total at a Taco Bell restaurant, those contributions help fund youth scholarships and organizations like BGCH that are investing in the next generation.

Throughout September, you can support Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii through Foodland’s Give Aloha program.

When you shop at Foodland Supermarket HI or Sack N Save, simply make a donation at checkout and use our organization code 77321. Your gift will help support the programs, opportunities, and experiences we provide to thousands of youth across Hawaii.

And this year, there’s another way to spread the aloha!

Foodland has partnered with local artist Suzanne Jennerich to create special Give Aloha merchandise available for purchase in stores. A portion of the proceeds from every Give Aloha merchandise purchase will be added to Foodland’s matching gifts fund, helping increase the support available to participating Hawaii nonprofits, including BGCH!

🌊 Ocean Sports Day 2026! 🏄‍♀️☀️

Our Club members from Oahu and Kauai recently spent an incredible day at the beach learning, exploring, and trying something new!

During Ocean Sports Day, youth had the opportunity to participate in surfing, bodyboarding, beach volleyball, beach games, and water-safety activities in a safe and supportive environment.

For some of our members, it was a chance to try an ocean activity for the very first time. For others, it was another opportunity to build confidence, learn new skills, spend time with friends, and simply enjoy being a kid. 💙

Experiences like this are an important part of what we want for every young person who walks through our Clubhouse doors; opportunities to discover new interests, challenge themselves, and create memories that will stay with them long after the day is over.

A huge mahalo to all of the volunteers, instructors, lifeguards, and everyone who helped make Ocean Sports Day possible for our Club kids! 💙

What does 50 years look like? 💙

It's hard to capture 50 years in numbers.

Because 50 years of Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii isn't just measured in years. It's measured in people.

The kids who grew up in our Clubhouses.
The mentors who believed in them.
The families who trusted us.
The community leaders who invested in our mission.
And the alumni who still carry a piece of the Club with them today.

For five decades, BGCH has been part of the lives of Hawaii's youth, creating opportunities, building relationships and giving generations of kids a place where they could learn, grow and discover what was possible for their futures.

In case you were wondering... we had an absolute blast this summer! ☀️💙

From unforgettable field trips and hands-on adventures to new friendships, exciting games, creative projects, sports, laughter, and countless memories, our Clubhouses were filled with smiles every single day.

While school is just around the corner, the fun doesn't stop here.

Every day after school, Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii continues to provide a safe place where kids can learn, grow, build confidence, discover new opportunities, and simply enjoy being kids.

To every parent who trusted us, every staff member and volunteer who made the magic happen, and every supporter who believes in our mission..........MAHALO!

🌺 Summer Nights at BGCH Nanakuli

From lei kūpeʻe and lei poʻo making to community resources and generous donations from our partners, Summer Nights brought together over 260 youth and families from the Nanakuli and Waianae communities.
