Meet Dr. Suma Metla, Founder of , a pediatric physical therapy practice dedicated to ensuring families have access to trusted guidance and support during the most important years of a child's development.

A licensed pediatric physical therapist, Dr. Metla founded Three Little Ducks in 2022 with one simple but powerful goal: to help families thrive.

This week's is someone building a healthier future for Hawaiʻi's keiki.

Meet Kimberly Uehisa, Founder & CEO of Early Cardiovascular Health Outreach (ECHO), a nonprofit on a mission to give every child the opportunity to grow up with a healthy heart.

Inspired by her own experience with high blood pressure, Kimberly created to start the conversation about heart health early, before a diagnosis or life-threatening event. Through school and community partnerships, ECHO teaches youth heart-healthy habits through four pillars:

💛 Mind-Well | 💛 Eat-Well | 💛 Rest-Well | 💛 Move-Well

ECHO has already reached thousands of youth across Hawaiʻi, and Kimberly is just getting started. We are so proud to have her as a YWahine Cohort 9 alumna and current Wahine Rising Cohort 8 participant!

Wahine Rising is a 30-hour leadership program designed for potential women leaders ready to build core competencies, grow in confidence, and connect with an incredible community of like-minded wahine. Through facilitated classes, mentorship events, and Mink Wahine Leadership Series sessions, you'll gain the tools and inspiration to lead with purpose in business, in community, and in life.
