Coming up next week in the Earle Ernst Lab! 🌙 "4.48 Psychosis" offers a deeply personal and poetic portrayal of mental illness, focusing on themes of psychosis, profound loneliness, and the struggle to make human connections. At 4:48 a.m., the main character finds a moment of sanity, but soon slips back into anguish and torment. Kane’s fragmented narrative invites audiences into the experience of someone living with severe depression, while Rowe’s direction emphasizes both the beauty and the darkness inherent in the work. 💜

🎟️ Tickets are available online! Visit manoa.hawaii.edu/liveonstage/448p for a ticket purchase link and more important info!

⚠️ Advisories: suicidal ideation, mental illness, self-harm, profane language, and flashing lights.

Mahalo to MidWeek for this recent article about BERETANIA SNAPSHOTS!

“...The story [playwright Sean-Joseph Choo] wants to tell is not at all what you’d expect a story about a kid and a dragon to be about,” says director Jason Kanda. “It’s not a fairy tale, but neither is it a story where you indulge in your made-up fantasy world to avoid confronting real-world problems.”

BERETANIA SNAPSHOTS continues tonight at Kumu Kahua Theatre! The show begins tonight and tomorrow at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Visit kumukahua.org for tickets!

They always have a camera, and always have something to say about everything. "Life as a spirit or whatever I am... what is and isn’t comes and goes. It feels like I’m in a river. Sometimes memories float downstream."

Tickets for BERETANIA SNAPSHOTS are selling out! Save your seats for shows happening this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. at kumukahua.org.
