[UN]cultivated is an international nonprofit organization that works with communities to help them build regenerative food systems through the integration of traditional knowledge, scientific research, and technology. e latest available estimates indicate that about 795 million people in the world - just over one in nine - were undernourished between 2014 and 2016. Estimates show that food production will have to increase by 70% to combat hunger for the global population in 2050. Indigenous knowledge offers innovative solutions to address climate change. These traditional practices have the potential to enhance carbon sinks and provide benefits back to the communities; they provide tools for the sustainable management of nature.
