There’s something incredibly special about an HBA Lifer.

They once walked onto campus as nervous kindergarteners. This week, after graduating with the Class of 2026, they returned to welcome our newest Eagles on their very first day of school—alongside Endurance. 🦅

What a beautiful full circle moment. One generation of Eagles encouraging the next, reminding our youngest students that they belong to a community that will walk with them for years to come.

Maybe this is the beginning of a new HBA tradition: each graduating class of Lifers returning to campus to welcome the next generation of Lifers as they begin their own journey.

Mahalo, Class of 2026, for leading with joy, school spirit, and servant hearts. You made our newest Eagles’ first day one they’ll always remember.

Once an Eagle, always an Eagle. 💛🖤

Three awards. One shared vision.

We’re honored that the Hugh & Mary McCormick Innovation & Discovery Center has received national and statewide recognition for excellence in design, innovation, and sustainability.

Together with our architectural partner, G70, the project has earned:
• 2026 ALA/IIDA Library Interior Design Award
• 2026 AIA Honolulu Design Award of Excellence
• 2026 Hawaiʻi Energy Award for Excellence in Energy-Efficient Design

Completed as Phase 2 of HBA’s Campaign for Transformation, the Innovation & Discovery Center is reimagining learning through spaces designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and discovery.

Mahalo to G70 and everyone who helped bring this vision to life.

The journey isn’t over. Learn how you can support the next chapter of the Campaign for Transformation by visiting the link in our bio.

Last night HBA was the host location for the Baylor University Hawai’i send off party. Baylor President, Linda Livingstone, and her husband, Brad, were there to greet incoming and current students, alumni and parents. It was wonderful to reconnect with so many HBA Eagles who are now Baylor Bears. 🦅 🐻

Mahalo to everyone who came out to our Alumni Celebration - Ho’olaule’a 2026! Congratulations to our milestone reunion classes who celebrated with us - class of 1976 and class of 1986. 🎉🦅

We had a great time connecting over ono food, great entertainment by Johnny Suite and a full shopping experience with our alumni pop up vendors.

Special presentations from the HBA Alumni Association were made to Harvest Family Life Ministries: Brad and Ester McDaniel from the class of 1986; and a $2,500 donation to the HBA Alumni Association Endowment was presented to President Shiira ‘75.

Susan Utsugi ‘82 gave encouraging news of our alumni class challenge. Congratulations to our top 5 classes: 1980, 1982, 1978, 2001, 1954!

Save the date for Ho’olaule’a 2027 - June 26, 2027. We hope to see you there!
