Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunset Founded in 1995 The Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunset became Hawaii's first evening club.

It is the mission of the Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunset to cultivate friendships, exchange ideas and develop programs to create positive change in our world. The Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunset meets at the Waikiki Yacht Club on Thursday evenings 6:00-7:30. We have service projects on going in Romainia, Malawi and Nepal as well as locally. Rotary in Action — Making a Difference in Our Community!

Generous donors like Jonathan make a lasting impact! At our last meeting, Jonathan was recognized as a Major Donor to The Rotary Foundation and received a crystal award and pin. Congratulations, Jonathan! PDG Ayman and District Foundation Chair Dave had the honor of presenting the award.

Mark also shared an inspiring message about giving back through time and talent. As a regular volunteer at The Pantry, he serves alongside his wife and Ritz-Carlton employees, helping local families in need.

Whether through generous donations or hands-on service, Rotarians make a difference! Together, we are putting Service Above Self into action and strengthening our community.

Welcome, Thai Young Professionals from Rotary District 3360!

The Rotary Club of Ewa Beach hosted a fun-filled welcome party for our guests, who will be hosted by generous Rotary families from District 5000 over the next two weeks.

Their stay will be filled with cultural, vocational, and friendship-building experiences—memories they can bring back to Thailand and share with their communities.

We’re excited to welcome them to Hawaii and look forward to making new friendships across the Rotary world!

We’ve had some wonderful meetings filled with fellowship, recognition, and community connections!

Welcome, Michele! We welcomed our newest member, Michele, a psychiatrist, who was inducted by PDG Del. We’re thrilled to have her join our Rotary ʻohana!

Aloha from Slovenia! Our sister-club friend Alja from Slovenia stopped by during her Hawaii vacation. It was wonderful to reconnect and share some Rotary aloha!

Fellowship continues!

Our Rotary fellowship continued with our “Breakfast Club,” meeting every morning for breakfast, sharing stories and enjoying plenty of laughs.

Back at the Hobans’ room, we enjoyed Osaka’s famous Rikuro’s cheesecake and even more stories and fellowship.

A special thank you to Masa for his incredible hospitality and aloha! He drove us to a traditional Japanese restaurant for lunch and then to a new shopping mall, where we met the enormous Gundam robot towering over us!

Great food, new experiences, wonderful hospitality and, most of all, friendship through Rotary. What a memorable time in Japan!

What a wonderful day of Rotary fellowship in Fukuoka!

The Rotary Club of Fukuoka Josei gave a warm welcome to 8 members of the Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunset at their weekly meeting. We enjoyed sharing information about our clubs, community service projects, vocational activities, and fellowship.

After the meeting, our Japanese hosts took us on a tour of the Great Buddha Temple, followed by a visit to a beautiful Shinto shrine. We then enjoyed a delicious Japanese meal together.

The evening’s entertainment included a hula performance, Rotarians singing, and even some salsa dancing!

A full day of friendship, culture, food, music, and lots of laughter—another wonderful example of how Rotary connects us around the world.

Rotary friendship truly knows no borders!

Last year, the Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunset proudly signed a sister-club relationship with the Rotary Club of Fukuoka Josei in Japan.

What began as a partnership has grown into a meaningful friendship—and, more importantly, a shared commitment to service. Together, our clubs joined in a service project to create a lasting impact in the community.

As part of the project, we made a financial donation to the Children’s Village, which provides a safe and caring home for children who have experienced abuse.

It is heartwarming to see how Rotary friendships can cross borders and become opportunities to make a difference.

Service above self—together, we can create a lasting impact.

The Hawaiian Humane Society (Ewa campus) needed a generator as a back up when power was out during storms like “Lala.” The Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunset donated a check to cover the cost of a generator. The tour, looking at ithe adoption of dogs and cats in their cages, was heartwarming.
