Ho'opili Tribal Council Here at Ho'opili Tribal Council, we are driven by our desire to preserve diverse indigenous traditions, family histories, and community relationships.

Ho’opili Tribal Council (HTC) promotes and perpetuates American Indian, Alaska Native, Hawaiian and First Nations people through education, gatherings, community outreach, and an Annual Honolulu Intertribal Powwow since 1974. Our work in Hawaii over the last 40 years includes educational presentations, cultural exchanges, community outreach and hosting annual intertribal powwow events. We strive to honor our host relatives and preserve our cultural traditions by building lasting relationships. Aloha & Aho!

As this day comes to a close on our beautiful island home, Hawaii nei, we would like to recognize and celebrate our indigenous relatives. Indigenous Peoples' Day is a reminder of the resilience, knowledge, and contributions of our ancestors. It's a reminder that these strengths and teachings resonate throughout our communities. Today is a day to acknowledge and honor those who have brought us here to our present so that we may continue to uplift our relatives and voices as we build a better future for our generations to come.

Monday morning prayer🙏🏽

"I look to the East, and in prayer I burn my sage and send smoke up for the nurturing warm loving embrace of Grandfather Sun, rising for another day.
I look to the South, and in prayer I offer to***co down for the abundance and unconditional love blessed to us from Mother Earth.
"I look to the West, and in prayer I burn my cedar. And with the smoke, I smudge myself to be cleansed waiting for my Ancestors to talk to my heart, travelling on the winds.
I look to the North, and in prayer I burn my sweetgrass and send smoke up to Father Sky, that again the snow will come to give renewal to the sacred land in springtime.
