Young Okinawans of Hawaii Young Okinawans of Hawaii is a non-profit organization aimed to stimulate interest in Okinawan Eisaa & Culture. Feel free to join us at many of our events!

Our club is open to all ages who are young at heart and interested in Okinawan culture! LIKE US! YOH remains very active throughout the entire year by accepting invitations to participate with Bon Dances all across the State, assisting with the annual Hawaii United Okinawan Association (“HUOA “) Okinawan Festival, coordinating the annual Senior Citizens Christmas Luncheon, doing fellowship project

s with other HUOA clubs and encouraging and supporting members to pursue cultural performance activities, and participating with the HUOA Leadership Tour and Okinawa Student exchange programs. YOH has always emphasized participation in various cultural, social, athletic and service projects. YOH membership has included individuals representing all the professional fields, business owners, tradesmen, and highly recognized and accredited cultural and music instructors.

Nifee deebiru to everyone that came out to help today! It was a collaboration with YOH and Sashiki-Chinen Doshikai, making “genki balls,” and then tossing a bunch into the Ala Wai to help clean up the sludge.

Been following the devastation of the Maui wildfires. In the spirit of Yuimaaru (community supports one another, especially in times of need), here's a breakdown of organizations that are raising money to help. If you are able, please review and consider donating to some of these groups. Sourced from various local news organizations.

HAWAII COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, MAUI STRONG FUND: Providing resources for disaster pre, response and recovery. 100% of funds will go towards the community. No fees will be taken. https://www.hawaiicommunityfoundation.org/maui-strong

HAWAII SALVATION ARMY: They will be providing meals in Maui emergency shelters. Donations can be made at https://hawaii.salvationarmy.org/

KAKOO MAUI FUND: Funds will go to help Maui families and businesses. Donations up to $250,000 will be matched. https://www.memberplanet.com/campaign/cnhamembers/kakoomaui

FOODLAND STORES: Accepting donations at checkout to support American Red Cross of Hawaii's relief efforts. Foodland will match a portion of each gift. Shoppers can donate up to $249, donate Maikai points, donate change, and round up purchases to nearest dollar.
