We had a great afternoon with Peter B. Savio as our guest speaker on April 8.

He walked us through the realities of buying vs. renting, and it sparked a lot of honest conversation and questions, with members sharing their own experiences and perspectives. It’s always nice when a topic really connects with the room.

New Opportunity for Young Professionals! 🌏✈️

YPE is a Rotary District–created program intended for young professionals (Rotarians or non-Rotarians) ages 25 to 35.

Participants will gain cultural experiences, engage with their professional fields, share skills, and build international and personal relationships. They will also network with professionals, take part in humanitarian service projects, and connect with host families and Rotarians.

Participants are usually selected at least six months before travel. For this first exchange in July 2026, monthly meetings will prepare participants by building rapport, setting goals and expectations, and fostering fellowship. 🤝

We honor the life of Walter K. Nishioka, who passed away on January 11, 2026, at the age of 93.

A member of the Rotary Club of Waikiki since 1974, Walter was a Korean War veteran, founder of the International Karate League, and a respected Shihan (Master Instructor) who influenced over 5,000 students. His legacy of service and leadership will be remembered always.

Our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.

We had the honor of welcoming Congressman Ed Case as our special guest and speaker at today’s Rotary Club of Waikīkī meeting! 💙

It was an inspiring luncheon as he tackled the topic of democracy in his talk. Mahalo, Cong. Ed Case, for being with us this noon!
