Aloha,
SNEHA invites everyone to come together in remembrance and solidarity for the lives affected by the devastating floods in Nepal.

Dear SNEHA Community,
Our thoughts, prayers, and support are with everyone affected by the devastating flash floods in Nepal. 🙏🇳🇵
At this time, the priority is rescue efforts, saving lives, and locating those who are still missing. Many organizations and individuals are already working hard to provide immediate assistance, so we feel it is best for SNEHA to give them space to focus on these urgent efforts.
The recovery and rebuilding phase will be even more challenging after the immediate crisis. We are closely monitoring the situation and waiting for the right time and the right opportunity for SNEHA to support those in need.
Please be patient. I will get back to you all soon with an opportunity for our community to come together and support Nepal.
Our prayers are with Nepal. 🇳🇵🙏

Dear SNEHA Community and Friends,
I am writing to share some extraordinary news that brings immense pride to our entire organization and the Society of Nepalese in Hawaii (SNEHA). Our esteemed Past President and cherished SNEHA Life Member, Dr. Rajib S***a, has been
officially appointed by the Government of Nepal to serve as Election Commissioner of Nepal. As many of you know, Dr. S***a earned his PhD from the University of Hawaii, and his dedicated leadership within SNEHA has been defined by integrity, intellect, and a deep commitment to serving others. Seeing one of our own community leaders striding into such a pivotal role in strengthening democracy in Nepal is an honor for all of us.
Please join me in congratulating Dr. S***a as he embarks on this noble chapter of national service and wishing him a successful tenure.

With warm Aloha and best wishes,
Dinesh Timilsina
President, SNEHA

The Society of Nepalese in Hawaii (SNEHA) hosted its Summer Picnic 2026 on July 25 at Patsy T. Mink Central O‘ahu Regional Park in Waipahu. The celebration brought together families and friends for a joyful day filled with cultural connection, outdoor activities, and community spirit. Highlights included a friendly yet competitive soccer tournament and a delicious spread of authentic Nepalese dishes prepared by members and volunteers. The event beautifully showcased SNEHA’s dedication to preserving culture, strengthening community bonds, and creating memorable experiences for all.
