Hurricane Refuge Areas
Eight City hurricane refuge areas remain open across Oʻahu for residents and visitors who need a safe place during the storm. The Moanalua High School cafeteria is operating as a hurricane refuge area. All locations are pet-friendly. Individuals should bring food, water, medications, and other essential items whenever possible, along with necessary supplies for their pets.

• Roosevelt High School

As of 4 p.m. Saturday, 32 people were staying at the eight refuge areas.

The City and County of Honolulu, in partnership with Kaimukī High School, will host a free career fair on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Kaimukī High School. Thank you to all the families who stopped by our MES PTO table to vote on the movie for Movie Night. The winner was GOAT!

Movie Night is open to all MES families, although space is limited. There will be free popcorn for all who attend and dues-paying MES PTO members will get an additional treat.
