💗 Young entrepreneurs with big hearts! 💗

We are so grateful to sophomore Kira (left) and her friend Sabine (not pictured) who turned their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit into a way to give back!

Through their online jewelry business , these talented young entrepreneurs chose to donate a portion of their earnings to HUGS, helping support Hawaiʻi families caring for a child with a life-threatening illness. 🌺

It’s especially inspiring to see young people using their talents not only to build something of their own, but also to make a difference in their community.

A little fun, laughter, and connection go a long way! Our HUGS moms enjoyed a wonderful evening at ʻAiea Bowl for Mom's Night, sharing each other’s company and creating meaningful connections.

One of our new moms shared, “I wish I was able to come to this before, but I can’t wait to come to more.” Moments like these remind us how important it is to create spaces where our moms feel welcomed, supported, and connected. 💕

A big Mahalo to the amazing team for their warm hospitality, providing a fun space for our moms to unwind and enjoy one another, and donating their special 60th anniversary cups!

HUGS Mom’s Night provides peer support from other moms facing similar challenges of caring for a seriously ill child and creates lifelong friendships fueled by sharing that common bond. To learn more about HUGS’ programs visit www.hugshawaii.org.

Registration for the 4th Annual Paddle for HUGS Pickleball Tournament presented by Arrillaga Foundation is now closed as we have reached our max number of players.

Thank you to everyone who registered to play and looking forward to seeing all of you on November 7!

You can still show your support by donating to the tournament and also join the fun - come down to cheer on your friends and family playing and enjoy the half time show featuring a pickleball exhibition by Pickleball Pro Keven Wong and live ukulele performance by Jody Kamisato

A HUGE mahalo to our amazing volunteers from BYU–Hawaiʻi especially students from the Niue Club .niuean.club and Investment Club .byuh, along with incredible volunteers, who brought their helping hands and caring hearts to our HUGS Memorial Garden at this past weekend.

Our Memorial Garden is a very special place. Each tree was planted in memory of a HUGS child, and caring for these trees is so much more than simply maintaining a garden. It is about remembering a life, honoring a child, and letting their families know that their child will never be forgotten.

Our volunteers worked hard tending to the trees and caring for the garden so it continues to be a beautiful place of love, remembrance, healing, and hope for our HUGS families.

We are especially excited and grateful for our growing partnership with . This day was just the beginning, and we look forward to exploring even more ways their students can share their hearts, talents, and service in support of our HUGS children and families.

To ALL of our volunteers—thank you for your help, your heart, and for remembering the precious lives of our HUGS kids.

We're excited to introduce our second new JABSOM intern for the fall, please say hello to Cielo.

"Hi! My name is Cielo, and I was born and raised in Waipahu, Hawaiʻi. I graduated from Waipahu High School and later attended the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa , where I majored in Biology and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. I am currently a first-year medical student at the John A. Burns School of Medicine.

Outside of school, I enjoy arts and crafts, journaling, watching sunsets and sunrises, and exploring different coffee and matcha cafés! I am looking forward to being a student intern with HUGS because I hope to support children and their families during difficult times and be a warm, comforting companion for them throughout my time at HUGS."
