Mahalo to all our volunteers who helped make this imu fundraiser such a success 💛

We had so much fun building the imu, mālama the tīna, getting muddy, swimming, and spending time together as a club. Mahalo to Kākoʻo ʻŌiwi for welcoming us, sharing aloha, and teaching our keiki about mālama ʻāina and living off the land.

And mahalo to everyone who supported by purchasing kālua pig — we hope you’re all enjoying your imu dinner tonight! 🌺🐖🔥

Ka Hoʻolaʻa Waʻa: He Hoʻomaka Hou 🌊

On May 30, 2026, our Hui Nalu ʻohana will gather at the halau to celebrate a deeply meaningful moment—the blessing of our three koa waʻa: Enay, Maika’i Roa, and ’Uhanepanoakalani.

This ceremony marks more than just the introduction of canoes into the water; it is a renewal of spirit, purpose, and connection for our entire club.

The canoe blessing ceremony will be led by Kumu Keolani Correa Noa, guiding us in honoring this tradition. As we send these waʻa into the water, we also set our course for the season ahead—with unity, respect, and pride in who we are as a club.

We invite all members, families, and friends to join us in this special gathering. Bring a lei, bring your aloha, and come be part of this new beginning

Smiles all around at our Kala Kukea keiki race 💛

There’s something really special about your very first paddling race—the butterflies in your tummy, big smiles, and being in the waʻa with your crew. For many of these keiki, this was their first race ever, and it’s a memory they’ll keep in their hearts. We hope they fall in love with paddling and always remember their first race fondly 🌊✨

Go Hui Nalu! 🤙
