Talk to your kids. They think they are immortal and invensible. These seems like a stupid thing to do to me, but kids don’t have the same knowledge and understanding. Protect them with knowledge and wisdom. My heart and prayers go out to this family.

This is life saving information from our favorite Pediatric ER Doctor: Dr. Alson Inaba-PLEASE SHARE

"School teachers have heard about MIS-C so they asked me how teachers could recognize MIS-C in a child in their classroom.
I told them that cough and respiratory symptoms may NOT be a significant symptom in children with MIS-C (unlike COVID-19 symptoms).😷👧🏼🤧

Since the mortality rate from MIS-C is higher than COVID-19 itself, people need to know what to watch for. 🧐👀🗣

Many of these children were exposed to COVID-19 within 2 weeks and did NOT have any COVID-19 symptoms. Then they present quickly with these symptoms and many of them end up in the ICU in shock.😱

Look for the following FIVE 5️⃣ symptoms and this catchy phrase....

When considering MIS-C....."FEAR-C"‼️
F = Fever 🌡
E = Eyes (red)
A = Abdominal symptoms (pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea)
R = Rash
C = Confusion or lethargy

Dr. Inaba thinks this would be an EASY and CATCHY way for non-medical people (and medical people) to look for MIS-C. ❤️🧒🏽👨‍👩‍👧‍👧

Keep your children safe! Never hesitate to go to the ER or call 911 when any of these symptoms appear. Better safe that sorry!!!
Here is more information from the CDC

Our Story

Kids 4 CPR, Inc. formerly Hawaii Heart Foundation, was established following the passing of Kristin Maekawa Claudi. On May 27, 2009, at the age of 28, Kristin experienced a Sudden Cardiac Arrest on campus while teaching. Kristin is remembered for loving Italy and everything Italian. She loved her husband, her family, her students, and rainbows. She delighted in everything life had to offer. As a special needs teacher, Kristin enlightened her students with love, understanding, and passion. In return they adored her. She is greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Hawaii Heart Foundation is nearly a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)3 established in 2010 with the mission to improve the cardiac arrest survival rate. As a part of this foundation, a program based on teaching lifesaving CPR and AED use in schools was designed to help turn the sudden cardiac arrest (death) statistic upside down!

Since 2010, hundreds of thousands of kids have learned how to save a life. Many have saved parents, grandparents and loved ones.
