FACES BEHIND THE ART: One of the joys of working with local artists is getting to know the wonderful, creative individuals behind the artwork. Here are just a few artists featured in our current exhibition:

Liz Train - “Pathways” (felted wool)
Allison Roscoe - “evening shades” (handmade paper)
Michelle Schwengel-Regala - “ʻAlalā/Hawaiian Crow/Corvus hawaiiensis” (3D and 2D work incorporating fiber, glass beads, silver, paint and koa wood)
Reuben Aira Jr. - “Cocoon” (surfboard skin, mixed media)
Robin Appasamy - “Held Radiance” (papier-mâché clay)
Patrick Mizumoto - “Interwoven Systems” (basswood, Belgian linen, oil paint, canvas; Hawaii SFCA Recognition Award)
Sheldon Wong - “infallible body” (thermal and handmade paper, porcelain, monofilament)
See all these incredible, innovative pieces in "Fiber Hawaiʻi 2026," presented by Hawaii Craftsmen, juried by Marques Hanalei Marzan.
