At the Lialoha Pathway International Elementary school, we do all we can to create an environment that fosters learning and growth. We provide our students with the facilities, tools, technology, and instructors that will help them to become successful. We do not, however, make them learn anything. We provide the resources and the students provide the desire.

At the Lialoha Pathway Elementary school, we encourage our students to try hard things and at times to fail in their pursuit of excellence. None of our students like to fail, and that makes perfect sense, however, we find that the greatest lessons are learned through falling short and then picking yourself back up to try again.

Our students faces are filled with hope when they realize how important their education is to their future. This is what keeps us moving forward. The conditions in Cambodia leave many good people in dire situations. That’s why we have built this school and continue to provide light to those who were lost and in darkness. If you can find it within yourself to assist our little school in any way, please let us know. We feel blessed to have come across so many people who have donated supplies, money or time to help build up this school. We again thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

We recently had our community sharing event where we invited the families of our students as well as some community members to visit our school and take home some provisions. We were able to provide food, drinks and some household necessities to help support the local community. We try to hold our sharing event about four times a year, and hope to do it more often if possible. We feel blessed for all the support we receive and continue to share our blessings with the beautiful people of Cambodia.

Education is not the filling of a pot but the lighting of a fire! We love this quote as it embodies what we’ve observed in our students. Their joy of learning continues to grow each day as they acquire more knowledge. Our hope is that the fire of learning will never go out, and that our students will become lifelong learners.

One of the most important things we teach our students at the Lialoha Pathway Elementary is to have faith and trust in God. Every evening we hold bible study for any students that want to join. At these sessions, we help these children to understand the importance of God’s words and how to apply them to their everyday lives. We believe that teaching these fundamental principles will help these children to have a strong foundation for their future.

No matter what we do, or where we are, knowledge is something that no one can take away from us. This is something that we wholeheartedly believe in at the Lialoha Pathway Elementary. On a daily basis we try to help our children to develop a love of learning, knowing that it will pay them great dividends in the future.

More photos from our event with OTCAN. We’re extremely happy to have the support of organizations locally In Kampong Chhnang Province as well as partners and supporters around the world. With all the donations or items, time or money, we’re able to help give these lovely children of Cambodia an education that will serve them well into the future. We thank all of our supporters from the bottom of our hearts!

Clothing sharing event at SaTwit Village In Kampong Chhnang. Big shoutout to OTCAN Organization for providing boxes of donated clothes. Overall this was a great event for our school children as well as the community members who could earn a little money by recycling the plastic, cans and paper left over after the event. Great work everyone!
