Easterseals Hawaii We’re creating a more equitable world so people with developmental disabilities can choose their path.

We do this by reimagining how care and support can be better connected to fill gaps in human services across an individual’s lifespan. We are a 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit organization, founded in 1946, dedicated to providing family-centered services to empower people with developmental disabilities to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Our Easterseals Hawaii Adult Day participants from our Ewa Beach office will be at Denny's on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 1 - 4 p.m. to read stories aloud for children dining at their location. 📚🌺

Children who attend will take home a free, gently used book while supplies last.

There’s always something special about storytime, but this one will be one for the books.

Have questions about your keiki's development? 🌺

Starting this month, the Easterseals Hawaii Early Intervention team will be at the Aloha Diaper Bank inside Windward Mall on the first Tuesday of every month. No appointment, no pressure, just stop by.

Chat about , learn about community resources or ask anything on your mind about your little one's growth. We're here for keiki ages 0-3 and the families who love them. 🩵

Hold the pumpkin spice, we've still got a little summer left in us! ☀️🌺

Our Kapolei Early Intervention Program threw a "Play, Learn and Grow Day" on the lawn at our Napuakea location, which was absolutely as fun as it sounds. Water play, bubbles, hopscotch, arts and crafts and a fire truck visit from the Makakilo Fire Department that we're pretty sure made some lifelong firefighter fans. 🚒

Watching these keiki play and explore is what looks like in real life. Our Kapolei program is one of our five ESH Early Intervention programs that support babies and toddlers from birth to age 3 as they work toward their .

Kauai Now spotlighted the appointment of Kirsten Pennaz as our new vice president of programs.

Kirsten brings more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience and deep, established roots in the Hawaii community. Her background includes leadership roles at Hawaii Pacific Health Medical Group and Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children.

Her commitment to this community extends well beyond her professional work: She serves on the board of HUGS, volunteers with Girl Scouts Hawaii and Diamond Head Theatre, and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

In her new role, Kirsten will lead programs supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families across the Islands. We are honored to have someone of her experience and aloha spirit joining our leadership team.
