Easterseals Hawaii We’re creating a more equitable world so people with developmental disabilities can choose their path.

We do this by reimagining how care and support can be better connected to fill gaps in human services across an individual’s lifespan. We are a 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit organization, founded in 1946, dedicated to providing family-centered services to empower people with developmental disabilities to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Kauai Now spotlighted the appointment of Kirsten Pennaz as our new vice president of programs.

Kirsten brings more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience and deep, established roots in the Hawaii community. Her background includes leadership roles at Hawaii Pacific Health Medical Group and Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children.

Her commitment to this community extends well beyond her professional work: She serves on the board of HUGS, volunteers with Girl Scouts Hawaii and Diamond Head Theatre, and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

In her new role, Kirsten will lead programs supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families across the Islands. We are honored to have someone of her experience and aloha spirit joining our leadership team.

Some of our amazing participants were at Eggs 'n Things, greeting the brunch-going public and helping to collect donations for Easterseals Hawaii. We even had a participant’s grandfather come in just to make a donation and support his grandson! 🥹🤙

There's still time to join in! All April long, dine in at any Oahu location, add a donation to your bill and know that your meal is making a real difference.
