🫡Huge mahalo to our Education Committee who turned learning into leadership: Leslie Door, Chenise Blalock, and Dr. Edward Keaunui—your work is the backbone of these awards!

In honor of IAIP week- let's look at the history and evolution of the NAIW/ IAIP logo. It was originally designed as a pyramid to represent the NAIW Creed: Fellowship, Loyalty and Education. Over the years that triangle changed from the original design. In 2012 the pyramid/ triangle update broke it into three separate connecting triangles to still represent the creed - fellowship, loyalty, education and the tagline Connecting Members. Building Careers. Flash forward 13 years when in 2025 at the International Convention in Oklahoma City, it evolved again with the updated tagline Building. Futures. Together.

Do any of our members still have their pyramid pin? If you do post a picture of it in the comments. .

International Association of Insurance Professionals

Originally designated on May 10, 1957, National Insurance Women’s Day honored the tremendous contributions the National Association of Insurance Women (NAIW) made to the education, advancement, and visibility of women in the insurance industry. What began as a single day grew into a full week of recognition in 1988 — and today, NAIW Week, now IAIP Week, begins each year on the third Sunday in May.

It has become a vibrant celebration of our history, our legacy, and the promise we offer to the insurance professionals of the future.

The work of Elsie, Bertha, and the visionary founding members who gathered June 21–23, 1940 laid a foundation that has supported generations of insurance professionals. Their leadership, and belief in the power of community continue to guide us — and it is our responsibility to carry that legacy forward for the generations to come.

As we prepare to open the 85th International Convention in just three weeks in Norfolk, this is the perfect moment to reflect on the legacy of our past and the possibilities of our future.

In honor of IAIP (Insurance Professionals) Week, share in the comments:
What does your IAIP membership mean to you?
Or, if you could thank Elsie or Bertha today, what would you tell them?
Or maybe just post a picture of your IAIP week celebration.

Let’s celebrate who we are, where we’ve been, and the incredible future we’re building together.
