Dorie Greenspan is coming to Hawaii! Dorie is a five-time James Beard Award-winning author and former columnist for The New York Times and The Washington Post.

Dorie will be teaching Hawaii Culinary Education Foundation (HCEF) workshops at Kapiolani CC. The classes are supported by Les Dames d’Escoffier Hawaii Chapter.

Dorie will be honored at a Fete brunch Oct. 18 (with a portion of the proceeds benefiting HCEF) hosted by Chef owners Robbyne Maii and Chuck Bussler.

The students explored the garden / harvested fresh vegetables and herbs.

Learned butchery skills, practiced knife cuts, and prepared a delicious meal.

Sheraton Maui Executive Chef Mitchell Cooper teaching and sharing: Arancini with braised beef and taro puree topped with garlic aioli and pickled shallots.
