Inner Freedom: Join Gwi-Seok and Marlene for a restorative asana and sound bath.

We will focus on cultivating physical, emotional, and mental spaciousness, especially when we may feel limited or stuck. No matter what is going on inside.

The asana session will be supported by the vibrations of the singing bowl, and we conclude with a guided toning session with Marlene.

🚨Starting this Monday!

Yoga Fundamentals II
10-Week Course
with Gwi-Seok Hong

Mondays, 5:30 to 6:45 pm
September 14 to November 16
(Bonus/Makeup: November 23)

Prerequisite: Yoga Fundamentals I or at least 6 months of Iyengar Yoga study
Required textbook: Preliminary Course (Geeta Iyengar)

Join this follow-up to Yoga Fundamentals I, when we went systematically through Preliminary Course, to build a strong, comprehensive yoga foundation.

We will continue by following Weeks 11–21 from our textbook.
This series will involve brisk, high-energy classes, covering 25 to 40 poses each week. All poses can be modified, but be prepared to move your body, break a sweat, and learn a ton.

Students will also be expected to study the textbook and practice at home.
Student feedback from Yoga Fundamentals I:
"I cannot believe I attended all classes. I feel more sure about some of the poses now."
"I am so glad I took the course. I was taking Iyengar Yoga on and off for about 15 years at IYSDC but I learned a couple of new things that gave me more confidence."

Thursday Free Class
Level 1A Community Offering
with Supin Wongbusarakum

Thursdays, 6:15–7:15 pm

This new class started in July and is a weekly community offering at no charge. This is a great opportunity to commit to another class to deepen your yoga practice and try a class with our new teacher, Supin. For those looking for an evening class you can attend after your busy work day, this class will be a good fit!

Supin Wongbusarakum has taught Iyengar Yoga in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and Honolulu. She believes Iyengar Yoga is a powerful path to holistic physical health, mental strength, and greater peace and resilience in both personal relationships and society. Supin brings this intention into her teaching, where she is working toward Level 2 certification.

She is a conservation social scientist with a Ph.D. in Human Geography from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. She is currently the Managing Director of One People One Reef, a nonprofit organization that supports traditional resource governance through the application of Western science. She also serves as a mentor for Fellows of the David H. Smith Postdoctoral Conservation Research Fellowship Program, helping them strengthen the human dimensions and impact pathways of their research projects.

Supin is fluent in English, German, Thai, and Teochew, and has a basic knowledge of French. She is also a passionate ceramic artist.
