Sometimes, the most important thing we can do for someone who is struggling is simply notice, listen, and reach out.

Join us for safeTALK Su***de Prevention Training: a supportive, practical training designed to help community members recognize signs that someone may be thinking about su***de, start a caring conversation, and connect them with life-saving support.

✨ No previous experience or mental health training is required. Through interactive learning and skill practice, you’ll build the confidence to recognize opportunities to help and play an important role in su***de prevention.

Sometimes, the most important thing we can do is notice when someone may be struggling, start a conversation, and help connect them to support.

Join us for safeTALK: Su***de Alertness for Everyone, a half-day training designed to help community members recognize signs that someone may be having thoughts of su***de and learn how to respond with care.

🌱 What you’ll learn:
• How to notice and respond when su***de thoughts may be present
• How to recognize invitations for help that are often overlooked
• How to move beyond silence, stigma, and avoidance
• The TALK steps: Tell, Ask, Listen, and Keep Safe
• How to connect someone with life-affirming resources and support

No formal preparation is needed. Anyone age 15 or older who wants to make a difference is welcome.

Join E Mālama Ola: Caring for Life Su***de Prevention Training, a locally created and produced su***de prevention training designed for anyone ages 15 years and older.

This free, in-person training will help participants recognize warning signs, respond with care, and connect people to support.

📅 Two opportunities to attend:
• Wednesday, June 10, 2026 | 9:00–11:30 AM
• Thursday, June 25, 2026 | 10:00 AM–12:30 PM

📍 UH Hilo Campus (exact room information will be shared with registered participants)

✨ Participants must attend the full 2.5-hour training
