Parents for Public Schools Hawaii We are a coalition of parents, community members, and educators committed to ensuring all children in Hawai`i have access to a quality public education.

Parents for Public Schools Hawaii (“PPS-HI”) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) coalition of parents, community members, and educators who are committed to ensuring all children in Hawai`i have access to a quality public education. We strive to increase family and community engagement through programs, events, and other activities. We also work with key decision makers to advocate for policies that increase educational opportunities for parents, families, and children. Shout out to LHS ROTC for hosting a station at Tuesday Respect Reset Day. As the event coordinator, I was impressed with their maturity, the way they showed initiative to help, their communication skills, and ability to work as a group. Shout out to Ret LTC (Ret) Amantiad and MSG (ret) Makaneole. We also enjoyed seeing our four Spartan Alumni - Rosie, Troxler, Anissa and Jenella

At ‘Aiea high school students are putting their message on the wall… and into the community.The drive with aloha program uses education and art, to prevent impaired driving.

Ho’oulu Academy is excited to recognize students who demonstrate one of our five core values throughout our campus.
These values help guide us in how we treat others, make decisions, and contribute to our school community.

Each month, we will be on the lookout for students who put one of these core values into action in their everyday lives at school.
For the month of October, the core value we will be focusing on Hō’ihi, or Respect!
Starting next week, we will be watching for students who show respect toward their classmates, teachers, staff, and our school campus.
Remember, showing respect can be as simple as listening when someone is speaking, using kind words, following directions, or treating others the way you want to be treated.

The state Department of Education broke ground and blessed the site of the future O’ahu school in East Kapolei, which is set to serve roughly 750 students from kindergarten through 5th grade.
