Healthcare Association of Hawaii

Healthcare Association of Hawaii We're a nonprofit that supports Hawaii's hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, home care agencies, and hospices.

The Healthcare Association of Hawaii (HAH) is a non-profit organization representing Hawaii's healthcare providers. Founded in 1939 as the Hospital Association of Hawaii, it merged with the Hawaii Nursing Home Association in 1974. In 1987, the name was changed to the Healthcare Association of Hawaii to better reflect its membership. In 2001 the Home Care Association of Hawaii merged with HAH, form

ing the only association in the nation representing the entire continuum of care. HAH now represents all of the acute hospitals, two-thirds of the long term care beds, home care agencies and hospices, as well as community based providers, supporting organizations, and affiliate and associate members which provide services and supplies to the industry. The delivery of health care services is changing rapidly. Implementation of National healthcare reform, healthcare administration, reimbursement, advances in medical and surgical management of disease, research and development of new pharmaceuticals, health care products and services have altered our health care status and how we perceive the quality of our lives now and our confidence in being able to access healthcare in the future. We here at HAH are committed to represent and advocate on behalf of Hawaii's healthcare industry to ensure delivery of quality and affordable healthcare services.
