What will you take with you when you leave "Lead & Lift"?

Maybe it’s a new perspective on what courage can look like.
Maybe it’s a story that stays with you.
Maybe it’s a reminder that you don’t have to have everything figured out before you take the next step.

Or maybe it’s a conversation with another woman that wouldn’t have happened if you hadn’t shown up.

On Saturday, "Lead & Lift: Women Who Lead Hawaiʻi" brings together Nicole Mehanaokalā Hind, Dr. Maenette Benham, and Meli James for a conversation about courage, purpose, leadership, and impact.

You’ll have an opportunity to:
✨ Hear honest stories about leadership and the choices that shape us
✨ Ask questions and join the conversation
✨ Connect with other women across Hawaiʻi
✨ Reflect on where courage may be asking you to step forward, speak up, say no, or make space for someone else

October is a special month for the Junior League of Honolulu. 💐

Founded on October 23, 1923, the Junior League of Honolulu has been bringing women together through leadership, service, and community for more than a century.

This month, we’re celebrating 103 years of JLH — honoring the women who helped build this organization, the members who continue that work today, and the generations of women who will carry it forward.

From our earliest years to the work we’re doing today in early childhood education and literacy, JLH’s story has always been about women coming together to make a difference in Hawaiʻi.

And as we look toward 105 years in 2028, we’re excited to think about what the next chapter can hold.

Here’s to 103 years — and to what comes next. 💕🖤

In Hawai‘i, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women. Schedule an appointment for your screening and follow up as needed based on family history and/or risk level. Now through November, women 40+ in Hawai'i may be eligible for a free mammogram through the "Go and Know" program. Details: https://livinghealthy.hawaii.gov/mammogram/

I find the good in myself. 🧡

Sometimes it looks like giving back. Sometimes it looks like trying something new. And sometimes…it looks like finding the perfect opportunity to give the camera a playful smile. 😏😂

Today, we’re celebrating the joy that comes from making a difference — and the joy we find along the way.

Because service (like stamping books 📖😉) can fill your cup, too. ✨

I find the good in my community. 💚

There’s something special about showing up, pitching in, and knowing that even a few hours of your time can help make a difference.

JLH members volunteered at a charity breakfast, helping deliver meals while supporting fundraising for our early childhood education and literacy programming. 🥞🚗📚

Good things happen when we show up for our community — and we’re grateful to be part of it. ✨
