As we introduce our panelists, we're also exploring the many ways courage can show up in leadership.

What does courage look like?

Sometimes, it's making room at the table — and then making sure others know they belong there.

Dr. Maenette Benham has spent her career thinking about how we create spaces where people can learn, grow, question, and see themselves reflected in the possibilities ahead.

What does it take to lead in a way that leaves the door wider open for the person coming behind you?

A new League Year is just around the corner, and we're looking forward to all that the 2026–2027 Junior League of Honolulu year will bring.

For more than 100 years, JLH women have come together to develop their leadership skills, support one another, and strengthen our community through meaningful volunteer service. This year, we'll continue building on that legacy — learning, leading, and serving side by side.

Whether you're a longtime member or just beginning your League journey, there's a place for you to grow, connect, and make a difference.

🍍Another wonderful morning at Pineapple Pages! 📚

Today, the Junior League of Honolulu read “Ohana Means Family” by Ilima Loomis with amazing keiki at Liliha Public Library.

Together, we followed the journey of kalo from the loʻi to the table, where it became poi shared at a family lūʻau. Along the way, we talked about the meaning of ʻohana and how family extends beyond those we’re related to— it includes the people who love, support, and care for us.

After storytime, the keiki put their imaginations to work by drawing pictures of the family and friends they would invite to their own lūʻau. We loved seeing each unique creation and hearing who makes each child’s ʻohana so special!

Mahalo to all of the families who joined us and to our incredible JLH volunteers who helped make another Pineapple Pages a success.
