Chamber of Commerce Hawaii The Voice of Hawaii’s Businesses for 175 years.

As the leading “Voice of Business” in Hawaii, the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii is the state’s largest organization advocating for businesses in Hawaii. Established in 1850, the Chamber works on behalf of its approximately 1,600 member companies and the business community, as a whole, to advance the state’s economic climate and help businesses succeed. The Chamber supports its members with training, business building and networking opportunities, lobbies government and advocates on behalf of business interests and serves as a liaison between civilian and military communities in Hawaii.

AI isn’t just changing technology. It’s changing what’s possible for business. And according to Scale AI's Dan Tadross, we may only be at the beginning.

As VP & GM of Public Sector at Scale AI, he works at the intersection of artificial intelligence, technology and some of the most complex challenges facing the public sector. Hear from Dan at our 176th Annual Membership Luncheon presented by DataHouse as he goes beyond the usual conversation about AI and automation and explores what its rapid evolution could mean for businesses.

He’ll look at where AI is today, where it’s headed over the next three to five years, and what greater access and lower costs could mean for businesses. One idea he’ll explore: When technology makes something more efficient and less expensive, we don’t always end up doing less. We often do more.

For Hawaii businesses, that raises some big possibilities. How might AI expand capacity? How could it change the way teams work? And what will local businesses need to rethink to take advantage of it?

Housing is about more than homes. It’s also about the roads, water and other infrastructure that make communities work.

These improvements come with significant costs. Question 2 on the November 3 ballot would give Hawaii’s counties a new financing tool through RISE (Resilient Infrastructure for Shelter and Equity) Bonds to help fund critical public infrastructure and support new development.

Investing in the infrastructure our communities need is an important part of the 2030 Blueprint to build a stronger, more competitive economy and create opportunities for local businesses and families.

Congratulations to this year’s Workforce Heroes!

The Workforce Heroes Celebration is an initiative of the State of Hawaii Workforce Development Council, recognizing individuals whose work may not always happen in the spotlight, but whose impact is felt across workplaces, families, and communities statewide.

This year’s honorees were recognized at the Future of Work Conference on September 23, 2026.

At its core, workforce development is about people helping people find opportunity, build skills, overcome barriers, grow careers, and create better lives.

We’re grateful to celebrate these Workforce Heroes and the role they continue to play in strengthening Hawaii’s workforce and future.
