Love this. Not just about teaching the girls self defense but even moreso teaching the boys to always respect girls. I’ve been lucky to have worked with such amazing kids that I’ve actually seen the boys stand up for the girls and even me on outings where a random guy was being overtly creepy. I never stop being impressed by the kids I’ve worked with. Hope to see this “respect-culture” everywhere in the world more and more.

Today with some of our AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL kids. We’ll be doing a big outdoor activity with these kids and more of the incredible local homeless keikies this Saturday. They seriously will inspire you with their appreciation for life and hard work.

Working with the homeless for 8 years I have found this to be extremely common. The generosity and compassion among soooo many people in the homeless population, is astounding.

This video could be staged. (They promised that it's not) but regardless I see this first hand almost every week, working with the homeless kids and interacting with other adults in the community. They are constantly trying to give me valuable things, literally almost every week, as a thank you. And they share all their food and stuff with others in the community.

Most of these adults have problems that can't be seen, it's actually soooo rare that any of them are just simply "lazy". I know from working with them first hand for 8 years.

Thank you to all of you who see them with compassionate hearts (as it can be rare these days). 💙-Nichole

Aloha!! Anybody like to donate?
Hey we want to do a nicer art/craft project tomorrow with the homeless kids since it's the last week before school starts (and then we'll be a little more focused on tutoring)If anybody is willing to donate the supplies, or just donate the money for me to get them, let me know!!!

Also if anybody has a big plastic table and battery powered lantern to donate let me know, since it's getting dark earlier and there is no electricity in the woods/tent area that we mainly work with now.

And we could always use a donation for Pizza/snacks if anyone would like to as well :)

So many things but there's often so many amazing people out there willing to help them out so it's worth a shot ;)

Aww love this, just an example of how happy and responsive kids are to learning when they get to be around others in similar circumstances as themselves.
The kids we work with enjoy getting to learn with other kids in their communities. All kids are amazing. Especially the kids that had to be strong through struggles.

(We've only had one child that was deaf and thankfully he could read and write so I was able to communicate with him that way)
