For those in the JBSA area, you’ll want to checkout what Team Owens is doing! Life group is just one of the many ways you can connect with them.

This may be a new duty station for Team Owens , but it’s definitely not our first rodeo when it comes to doing ministry!

We LOVE our brothers and sisters in arms, we LOVE military communities & families—we LOVE OUR military. We have first hand experience with this unique lifestyle and culture.

We as military members and families don’t always have the luxury and the blessing of being with our blood relatives and closest friends, so we have to build our communities and support network.

This is where LIFE Group comes in.

We gather, we dive deep into God’s Word, we share a meal, we encourage, and sharpen one another—from children to grandparents!

🫡 We celebrate milestones, achievements, birthdays, promotions, re-enlistments, etc.

💪We hang out, travel together, relax together, and spend holidays together.

🙏We grieve and mourn together when one of us is suffering.

🤲 We help one another during TDYs, deployments, and reintegrations.

✝️ We bear each other’s burdens and point each other back to Jesus Christ.

🔥 WE. DO. LIFE.

So if you find yourself needing a community where Jesus Christ is at the center, we invite you to join us. If you desire to find joy amidst the pain, we invite you to join us. If you desire to have someone go shoulder to shoulder with you in battle, we invite you to join us. If you desire to learn what it actually looks like to “walk the walk” and “talk the talk”, we invite you to join us.

Every quarter, FOI/MTTM has a 5th Sunday Missions Project. On 30 August 2026, our project is the MTTM Center Plant on Oahu, Hawaii.

The Dawning of a New Ministry to the Military Hawaii - O’ahu Center.

The Island of Oahu is home to well over 120,000 U.S. Military members and their families from all branches of service. Your financial support for this project will help us launch a new military ministry center, built on the growing fellowship group we started nearly two years ago.

🎶 Looking for a song to add to your playlist?

“Promised Land” by Red Rocks Worship & Tyler Roberts is a must!

There are several lines in this song that really hit home. The song reminds us that Jesus’ presence and everything we truly need is found in Him.

There’s a challenging question here: What happens when we stop trying to set the pace and let Jesus lead?

We live in a world that constantly tells us to hurry, accomplish, produce, and keep moving. Sometimes we bring that same mindset into our relationship with God.

But Jesus never called us to simply do more, He called us to abide.

John 15:7–8 says: “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.”

That’s where the Mary and Martha story in Luke 10:38-42 speaks so loudly. Martha was busy serving Jesus, while Mary chose to sit at His feet and be present with Him.

There will always be something that needs to be done, but Jesus sets the pace.

Maybe the question isn’t, “What am I accomplishing for Jesus?”

Maybe it’s: “Am I willing to stay with Jesus, hear His voice, and let Him set the pace?”

Because the goal isn’t simply getting to a promised land someday…His presence is exactly that! 🙏
