Hawaii's clock for those who think they can threaten free speech, due to the lack of strong Anti-SLAPP laws in Hawaii, is running out. And the clock may have a function to go backward five years. Stay tuned. Are you a consumer who has been a victim of frivolous legal threats, we want to hear from you.

A SLAPP suit seeks to use the courts to silence someone who has exercised First Amendment rights and deter others from similar speech.

Corruption is at all levels.

Hawaii businesses that have attempted to silence consumers, because they voiced being treated badly, with frivolous legal threats and law suits meant to silence the consumer- need to be investigated. Especially those who did this during the pandemic. And even more so those that received government funds during the pandemic.

Team for Hawaii Anti SLAPP Project has just returned from a whirlwind trip to California after speaking to multiple representatives and lawyers who advocate and defend consumers against SLAPP lawsuits in the state of California.

CHANGE IS COMING to Hawaii and we could not be more thrilled!

Voices once bullied and harassed by businesses will be heard. And never again will a consumer be bullied, threatened and harassed by businesses that think they can control the narrative and attempt to silence the TRUTH!

Anti-SLAPP laws provide procedural mechanisms that deter meritless suits filed to chill speech or petitioning activity—“Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation,” or “SLAPPs.”[1] The classic narrative of a SLAPP is that a public figure or corporation files a frivolous lawsuit against a less powerful critic for expressing her opinion through journalism, political organizing, or protest.[2] The object of such a suit is to intimidate and silence someone by disrupting their life and forcing them to expend money and time.
