June meeting with a full board - including new members was occasion for celebration!

The Friends of Italy Society of Hawai’i would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Elisabeth Case, President, Stacey Thomas, Vice President, Carmen Garcia, Treasurer, and Seth Reiss (not pictured) for their incredible service as board members. Their leadership, dedication, generosity, and enthusiasm helped create unforgettable events, meaningful friendships, and wonderful networking experiences throughout the past four years. 🍷🤝🌴

As their terms come to an end this year, they will be greatly missed by our community. Grazie mille for everything you have done to support and grow our organization! 🇮🇹🙏

Buona Festa della Repubblica! 🇮🇹✨

Today, June 2nd, we celebrate Italy’s National Day (Festa della Repubblica)!

On this historic day in 1946, Italians voted in a referendum to establish the Republic, marking a major turning point that also saw Italian women voting for the very first time in a national election.

It is a day to celebrate democracy, unity, and the shared heritage that connects us all, no matter where we are in the world—even right here in the heart of the Pacific.

È stata una bella serata, it was a beautiful evening at the Friends of Italy Society of Hawai’i Annual Member Meeting held at the iconic Outrigger Canoe Club 🌅🇮🇹🌺 We enjoyed delicious Italian-inspired dinner, cocktails, laughter, and unforgettable Waikīkī sunsets with wonderful friends and community. 🍷✨

Congratulations to the new board, and a heartfelt mahalo to our members moving off the board, Elisabeth Case, President, Stacey Thomas, Vice President, Carmen Garcia, Treasurer, and Seth Reiss, for your hard work, dedication, and commitment throughout the two year term.
